Congleton is a market town and civil parish in Cheshire East, Cheshire, England. It is on the River Dane, 21 miles (34 km) south of Manchester and 13 miles (21 km) north of Stoke on Trent. At the 2021 census, the parish had a population of 28,497 and the built-up area had a population of 30,005.
Crewe and Nantwich was, from 1974 to 2009, a local government district with borough status in Cheshire, England. It had a population of 111,007. It contained 69 civil parishes and one unparished area: the town of Crewe. It now forms part of the unitary authority of Cheshire East.
Basingstoke and Deane is a local government district with borough status in Hampshire, England. The main town is Basingstoke, where the council is based. The district also includes the towns of Tadley and Whitchurch, along with numerous villages and surrounding rural areas. The modern district was created in 1974, initially being called Basingstoke. Crewe Town Council is a parish council covering the town of Crewe in England. It comprises six wards, electing 20 councillors between them. The Council is based at 1 Chantry Court, Crewe where it generally holds its committee meetings. Full Council meetings are normally held at the Salvation Army.
The Women's Equality Party (WEP) was a feminist political party set up in the United Kingdom in 2015. The idea was conceived by Catherine Mayer and Sandi Toksvig at the Women of the World Festival, when they concluded that there was a need for a party to campaign for gender equality to the benefit of all. The launch meeting was on 28 March 2015 under the title "The Women's Equality Party needs you. But probably not as much as you need the Women's Equality Party". The party's full policy was launched by its then-leader Sophie Walker at Conway Hall on 20 October 2015. In January 2020, Mandu Reid took over as the party's leader.
Macclesfield Town Council is the town council for Macclesfield which was established in 2015. Created following a Local Governance Review carried out by Cheshire East Council, the new council adopted town council status on 5 May 2015, allowing it to appoint its chairman as Mayor of Macclesfield.
The 2018 Lambeth London Borough Council election took place on 3 May 2018 alongside other local elections in London, to elect members of Lambeth London Borough Council in England. The election saw Labour remain in control of Lambeth Council with a slightly reduced majority, winning over 90% of the seats. The Green Party achieved its best-ever result in the borough, winning five seats and becoming the official opposition and the largest Green group in London.

Crewe bus station in Crewe, Cheshire East, England, is a bus terminus for approximately 11 bus services. It opened to the public on 7th May 2024 as part of the Royal Arcade development in Crewe town centre.
