Conscience Records was a record company in New York that existed between 1995 and 1998.
Founded in 1995, Conscience Records [1] signed east coast rap-metal outfit Powerman 5000, putting out their debut album The Blood Splat Rating System. Other artists included El Dopa, Acumen Nation, [2] Grind and Mocean Worker. [3] Powerman 5000 was signed to DreamWorks in 1996, where they re-released the Bloodsplat album as Mega! Kung Fu Radio, remastered and with two new songs added and new artwork (including the Conscience logo). El Dopa recorded, but never released a follow-up album to their debut called United In States Of Narcolepsy. Krishna Venkatesh, singer and founder of El Dopa, currently lives in New Jersey.
Mocean Worker made one album for Conscience (Home Movies from the Brain Forest), subsequently leaving for Palm Records, Chris Blackwell's latest foray into the music industry after founding Island Records. Conscience was distributed by the now defunct label Never/Proper Records Group. Principals in the company were Enno Vandermeer and Jen Kriesel. Eric Bohnenstiel, label manager, later went on to appear on VH-1's "Top Moments In Metal". The company folded in 1998.

Anyone for Doomsday? is the third full-length album by Powerman 5000, and was originally slated as the follow-up to Tonight the Stars Revolt!. It was pulled by PM5K frontman Spider One two weeks before the release date. Due to being too similar to previous work, the album was originally intended to merely be delayed and revamped. However, during this time conflicts began to arise causing longtime members Dorian 27 and Al3 to leave the band. As a result, the album was scrapped due to Spider's unwillingness to release an album of half new members and half old. The album was available for a while on Powerman 5000's official website through Spider One's record label, Megatronic Records. The promotional copies featured artwork that was different from the copies available on the website. The album however was taken down due to legal reasons. The album is now available in full on iTunes and Spotify and the physical copy of the album has become a collectors item.
Krisiun is a Brazilian death metal band, founded by brothers Alex Camargo, Moyses Kolesne (guitars) and Max Kolesne (drums). Since its formation in 1990, the group recorded two demos, Evil Age in 1991 and Curse of the Evil One in 1992, and self-released an extended play (EP) titled Unmerciful Order in 1993. After signing with Dynamo Records, Krisiun released the debut full-length Black Force Domain in 1995, followed by Apocalyptic Revelation, in 1998. They signed with major label Century Media in 1999, releasing a further eight studio albums.

The album was a local success in Boston, MA, sold out of its initial pressing and won three awards from the 1995 Boston Phoenix Readers' Poll, including "Best Metal Album", "Best Rap Album" and "Album of the Year". Its success led to a contract with the major label DreamWorks Records, who reissued the album under the title Mega!! Kung Fu Radio on February 25, 1997. It had sold around 150,000 copies to date.
Destroy What You Enjoy is the fifth studio album by American rock band Powerman 5000 which was released on August 1, 2006 by DRT Records. It includes the single "Wild World", which was voted #3 on Headbangers Ball's top videos poll of 2006, while Destroy What You Enjoy was voted by Metal Edge as one of the "Top 10 Albums of 2006". The album debuted at #120 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold 7,000 copies in its first week of release.

Influenced by 1970s hard rock and punk rock, along with 1980s glam metal, they started out in Boston in 1997 and signed with independent label Curve of the Earth Records. In 1999 the band placed third in the finals of the WBCN Rock & Roll Rumble, being the first "wild card" act to play in the finals. They signed with DreamWorks imprint Megatronic Records and moved to Los Angeles in 2000. After numerous delays, they released one final album—The Last Star—before splitting up.
