The Continental Uptight Band were a Dutch band formed in 1969 in Utrecht, and active till 1980. [1] The and comprised Bud Bergsma, Letty Verhoef, Maarten Stoopendaal, Onno Stoopendaal, Peter Legler, Remco Wellerdieck and Ritty Van Straalen. [2] They had three hit singles in the Netherlands with "Please Sing A Song For Us", "Beautiful Friendship" and "On the Ride (You Do It Once, You Do It Twice)". [3]

Beaded Dreams Through Turquoise Eyes is the sixth studio album by the Mexican American/Native American funk rock band Redbone. It was released on Epic Records In October 1974, and was met with mixed reviews. It was co-produced by the brothers Pat Vegas and Lolly Vegas. It contains five songs on each side, and six extra tracks when it was re-released on CD in 2013. The record charted on the US Billboard 200 in 1974, peaking at number 174. The record is just over a half hour long. All four members of the band contributed to vocals, and an additional three backing vocalists were recruited for this project. Several members contributed to various percussion, and three additional personnel members were recruited for string arrangements.

The Superstars is the third album by the Dutch soundalike studio group Stars on 45, released on the CNR Records label in the Netherlands in March 1982. Uptight Tonight: The Ultimate 1960s Garage Punk Primer is a garage rock compilation put out in 2005 by Big Beat Records. The set consists of twenty-six tracks that, with a few exceptions, focus on the harder and more aggressive side of the genre. Steve Legget, commenting in AllMusic, writes that Uptight Tonight "...rips out the attitude and trash riffs pretty darn well, making it perhaps the ultimate single-disc set of this raggedly endearing rock style." The packaging includes well-researched liner notes written by Alec Palao, which provide helpful biographical information about the artists and their songs, as well as extensive photographs of the bands."

"On the Ride " is a song recorded and released as a single in January 1972 by the Dutch musical ensemble, Continental Uptight Band. It was written by Lynsey de Paul and Edward Adamberry. The single was a chart hit in the Netherlands, reaching No. 23 in March 1972. It also reached No. 21 on the Radio Northsea International Prediction Hit 40 listing on 4 March 1972 after being a Smash Play on the radio station a month earlier. The single was also released in most territories of the world including the UK, US, Germany, Spain, Turkey, Brazil and Argentina, with "Northern Islands" being the B-side on all of these releases. A promotional film of the group was shown on the Austrian TV music show Spotlight on 25 June 1972 singing the song while driving through the streets of Utrecht in an old timer car. The song was released on CD in 2002 on Top 40 hitdossier : collectables 70's and, in 2005, on compilation albums in the Nederpop series.
