Cool Boys and the Frontman is an Australian rock cover band consisting of radio hosts and comedians Hamish Blake (drums), Andy Lee (trumpet, keys) and Jack Post (guitar). Their live shows consist of only one song, and they usually perform with a rotating, prominent guest musician, who has included Guy Sebastian, Shannon Noll and the Veronicas. The group was formed in 2016 as a spin-off of the comedy duo's radio show, Hamish & Andy .

Live shows

Their live shows are usually held at unconventional places, including at the formal of a Catholic high school in Wodonga, the re-opening of a regional pub in Rankin Springs, and in the tiny farming town of Pirongia, in Waikato, New Zealand. [1] [2] [3] Reviewing their show at a graduation ball for nurses, the Newcastle Herald concluded the band "may only know one song, but they perform it adequately", giving the show four and a half stars out of five. [4]

Tours

Cool Boys and the Frontman embarked on the Half Way to the Top Tour in 2016, [5] where they only performed "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)" by AC/DC. [6] They were joined on-stage by Shannon Noll, the Veronicas, the Wiggles and Guy Sebastian. [7] [8]

In 2017, they performed their We Are the Champions Private Jet Tour, only playing the song of the same name by Queen. [8] They were joined on-stage by Vance Joy, Bret McKenzie, Jessica Mauboy and Ricki-Lee. [9] [10] The tour culminated with a farewell show at Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne on 1 December, which was broadcast as the duo's final radio programme. [8]

Voting for the nominees of the awards commenced on 1 July 2007 and ended on 22 July 2007 and on 1 August 2007 the full list of nominees were announced with new category Biggest Greenie. Hamish & Andy was a weekly radio show hosted by Australian comedy duo Hamish & Andy, which ran from 2006 to 2013, and then again from 2015 to 2017. Originating on Fox FM, it was broadcast nationally on the Hit Network from 2007 to 2010 in the weekday drive time slot. The show was the highest-rated radio series in Australian history, consistently gaining up to 20% market share in the crucial Melbourne market, with around 2.7 million listeners and 1 million podcast downloads each week. The duo retired from the show at the end of 2017, before it returned in a weekly podcast format in 2018.

Hamish & Andy is a weekly podcast hosted by Australian comedy duo Hamish & Andy, with Jack Post joining Hamish Blake and Andy Lee as a co-host. The first episode was released on 1 March 2018 after the duo's retirement from live radio broadcasting in 2017. In a format similar to that of their previous radio shows of the same name, each episode runs for about 45 minutes with four to five segments. As of 2023, the podcast has run for five seasons, with 40 episodes published annually.
