Cormac Bane is an Irish Gaelic footballer from Galway. Bane plays his club football with Caherlistrane and county football for the Galway senior team. [1] [2]
Bane was called up to the Galway senior team in 2006 by manager Peter Ford.
Barna is a coastal village on the R336 regional road in Connemara, County Galway, Ireland. It has become a satellite village of Galway city. The village is Irish speaking and is therefore a constituent part of the regions of Ireland that make up the Gaeltacht.

Ryan O'Dwyer is an Irish former inter-county hurler who played as a half forward for Dublin. He continues to play club hurling with Kilmacud Crokes. The County Tipperary-born player previously hurled with his local club Cashel King Cormac's and with the Tipperary senior inter-county team. In 2019 O’Dwyer began coaching Longwood, a small rural club in Meath, with notable players such as Michael Burke. The team will compete in the Meath senior hurling championship of 2019.
Liam Sammon is an Irish former Gaelic football manager, coach, writer and former player. He played football with his local clubs Father Griffins and Salthill-Knocknacarra and was a member of the senior Galway county team from 1966 until 1979.
Finian Hanley is a former Gaelic football player from Galway. He played his club football with Salthill-Knocknacarra and inter-county football for Galway from 2005 to 2017. He played in the full-back position. In 2008 he was nominated for an All Stars Award.

Anthony Cunningham is a former hurler who has since managed various Gaelic football and hurling teams. The 2012 Connacht Senior Football Championship was that year's installment of the annual Connacht Senior Football Championship held under the auspices of the Connacht GAA. It was won by Mayo who defeated Sligo in the final. This was Mayo's 43rd Connacht senior title. Mayo were drawn at home with London or Leitrim in their semi-final, while Sligo's route was the harder—playing away to New York and overcoming Galway in their semi-final, only to fall at the final hurdle once again. The winning Mayo team received the J. J. Nestor Cup, and automatically advanced to the quarter-final stage of the 2012 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Sligo entered the All-Ireland Qualifiers but soon exited, with a tame 0-13 - 0-04 defeat by Kildare in their next game. Donegal defeated Connacht champions Mayo in the 2012 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final.
The 2015 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 129th staging of the All-Ireland championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1887. The draw for the 2015 fixtures took place on 9 October 2014 live on RTÉ2. The championship began on 3 May 2015 and ended on 6 September 2015.
Galway United Football Club is an Irish association football club based in Galway. They play in the League of Ireland First Division. They were founded as Galway Rovers F.C. during the 1930s. They made their League of Ireland debut in 1977–78 and changed their name to Galway United in 1981–82. After suffering financial difficulties, the club dropped out of the League of Ireland after the 2011 season but in 2014 Galway United returned initially playing as Galway F.C. for a season. Like other sports teams from the county, Galway United are nicknamed "The Tribesmen", after the 13 "tribes" of Galway, the merchant families that established the city.
The New York county football team represents the New York metropolitan area in men's Gaelic football and is governed by New York GAA, the County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in three of the four major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, Tailteann Cup and the Connacht Senior Football Championship; it does not currently compete in the National Football League.
The Westmeath county hurling team represents Westmeath in hurling and is governed by Westmeath GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the Joe McDonagh Cup and the National Hurling League.
