Cornerstone Schools is a group of private schools in Forsyth County, Georgia, United States, near Cumming. Established in 1999, the school group is located on a 30-acre wooded campus near Lake Lanier and Georgia Highway 400. [1]
The preschool building opened in 2000. In 2001 a competition outdoor swimming pool and cabana opened. In March 2003 the first elementary school building opened. In 2005 the second elementary and middle school building opened. In 2009 two athletic fields opened. In 2010 a new gym was built, which houses the school’s band and basketball team. As of 2010, the ground work for the new middle and high school building had been completed, however that site remains empty today. [2]

Hickory Flat is an unincorporated community in southeastern Cherokee County, Georgia, United States. It geographic center is now a triangle formed by GA 140 on the north and east, Hickory Rd on the south, and East Cherokee Drive on the west. This triangle is now the business hub of the community with shopping centers anchored by Publix and another anchored by Kroger. It also contains the Hickory Flat Public Library and the Sequoyah High School educational complex which includes feeder schools; Hickory Flat Elementary and Dean Rusk Middle School.
The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) is a school district headquartered at 1701 Mountain Industrial Boulevard in unincorporated DeKalb County, Georgia, United States, near Stone Mountain and in the Atlanta metropolitan area. DCSD operates public schools in areas of DeKalb County that are not within the city limits of Atlanta and Decatur. It will serve a portion of Atlanta annexed by that city in 2018 until 2024, when that portion will be re-assigned to Atlanta Public Schools (APS).
Chattahoochee Technical College is a public technical college in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is governed by the Technical College System of Georgia and has eight campuses in the north-northwest metro-Atlanta area, and another just outside the region. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS) to award technical certificates of credit, diplomas, and associate degrees. The college was formed in 2009 as the result of the merger of Appalachian Technical College, Chattahoochee Technical College, and North Metro Technical College.
Cherokee Christian Schools is a private Christian school in Woodstock, Georgia, United States enrolling students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Its primary organization includes the Academy and the High School. The Administration of CCS includes a board of directors, a superintendent, and principals of the elementary, middle school and high school. It is a traditional school, in that students attend five days a week and follow a period schedule and calendar similar to local public schools.
Chapman Intermediate School was formerly the only intermediate school in the Cherokee County School District in Woodstock, Georgia, United States. The school served fifth and sixth graders. In the spring of 2013, Chapman Intermediate School was closed, as it was no longer needed. Students who would have attended it now attend one of the four feeder elementary schools until fifth grade, and then attend E.T. Booth Middle School in sixth grade. Chapman opened in 2000 with approximately 1150 fifth and sixth grade students and a staff of almost 100.
