Panglima La'ôt is a tribal leader in fishing community in Aceh province of Indonesia. He constitutes to organise Hukôm Adat La'ôt. The law, which is developed upon the basis of Islamic Law and is not set out in writing, consists of a system of marine laws and regulations; in regard, the sea is a source of work and welfare. It varies in detail depending on local conventions and type of fishing gear. Keeping pace with development in fisheries, the custom was developing more rapidly than other custom laws and covered most general procedures, including leader selection process, organisational structure, role and duty, etc.

North Aceh Regency contained the highest number of rural villages (852) amongst all of the regencies of Indonesia, followed by Pidie Regency with 730 rural villages and Bireuen Regency with 609 rural villages. Prabumulih, with only 12 rural villages, contained the fewest. Counted together, the sixteen regencies of Indonesia containing the most rural villages—namely, North Aceh (852), Pidie (730), Bireuen (609), Aceh Besar (604), Tolikara (541), East Aceh (513), Yahukimo (510), Purworejo (469), Lamongan (462), South Nias (459), Kebumen (449), Garut (421), Bojonegoro (419), Bogor (416), Cirebon (412), and Pati (401)—contain one-third of all the rural villages in Indonesia. Five of these are located in Aceh, two in Highland Papua, three in Central Java, two in East Java, three in West Java, and one in North Sumatra. An average number of rural villages in the regencies and 15 cities of Indonesia is 172 villages. A village is the lowest administrative division in Indonesia, and it is the lowest of the four levels. A village is usually divided into a number of hamlets, and there are 252,315 hamlets in Indonesia.
Langsa, is a city in Aceh, Indonesia. It is located on the island of Sumatra. Apart from a small seacoast to the northeast, it borders Manyak Payed District of Aceh Tamiang Regency to the east and is otherwise surrounded by Birem Bayeun District of Aceh Timur Regency to the north, west and south. The city covers an area of 239.83 square kilometres and had a population of 148,945 at the 2010 Census ; this grew to 185,971 at the 2020 Census, and the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 192,630, comprising 86,788 males and 95,842 females.
Lhokseumawe, is the third largest city in Aceh province, Indonesia. The city covers an area of 181.06 square kilometres, and had a population of 171,163 at the 2010 census and 188,713 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 191,396. The city is a key regional centre important for the economy of Aceh.
Alexander Willem Frederik Idenburg was a Dutch military officer and politician of the Anti Revolutionary Party who served as Governor-General of Suriname from 1905 until 1908, and the Dutch East Indies from 1909 until 1916. He also served as Minister of Colonies on three occasions between 1902 and 1919. Idenburg served on the Council of State from 1925 until his death in 1935.
Gotfried Coenraad Ernst "Frits" van Daalen was an Indo (Eurasian) Lieutenant General of the Royal Dutch East Indies Army who served in the Dutch East Indies. He was also the appointed Governor of Aceh from 1905 until 1908.

Ulee Geudong is a village in subdistrict Sawang, North Aceh Regency, Aceh province, Indonesia. The main occupations in Gampong Ulee Geudong are farming, gardening and breeding livestock. The village is located on the Jalan Elak (Bypass) Krueng Mane - Buket Rata 7–8 km Lhokseumawe and is very close to the Malikussaleh Airport as well as the Malikussaleh University.
Meukek is a district in South Aceh Regency in Aceh, Northern Sumatra, Indonesia. Meukek was attacked by the American Navy in January 1839.
Kuala Batee is a district in Southwest Aceh Regency, Aceh, Indonesia. Kuala Batee was attacked by American land and naval forces in 1832 after the crew of a U.S. merchant ship were killed in the area.
