Crackdust is a death metal band from Botswana. Crackdust plays an aggressive style of death metal. Their themes are the undead, hatred and violence.

History

Crackdust was founded at the beginning of 2006 by Roth (vocals, electric guitar), S'Bond (bass) and Dlax (drums). The band released the first single Deranged Psychopath the same year. Their debut album, Dented Reality, was published in December 2007. Mid-2008, Lee came as the new bassist for the band. The previous bassist S'Bond became the second guitarist of the band. [1]

In early September 2008, Crackdust was the opening band of the Botswana Woodstock. In 2011, they released a second single Return of the Gods.[ citation needed ]

They are referenced by Lance in season two of Detectorists on BBC.

Style

Crackdust is known for the slower tempos of their songs. Stylistically, the songs resemble a mixture of Bolt Thrower and Dan Swanö's slower works. [2] The music of Crackdust has been compared to the works of Cannibal Corpse. [3]

Job for a Cowboy is an American death metal band from Glendale, Arizona. Formed in 2003, the band's debut album Genesis was released in 2007, peaking at No. 54 on the US Billboard 200 and selling 13,000 copies in its first week of release. The second album, 2009's Ruination, sold 10,600 copies in the United States in its first week to debut at position No. 42 on the Billboard 200 chart. The band comprises vocalist Jonny Davy, guitarists Tony Sannicandro and Al Glassman and bassist Nick Schendzielos. Davy is the only remaining founding member.

Eluveitie is a Swiss folk metal band from Winterthur, Zürich, founded in 2002 by Chrigel Glanzmann. The project's first demo, Vên, was released in 2003. Vên was a studio project of Glanzmann's, but its success led to the recruitment of a full band. The band then released a full-length album, Spirit, in June 2006. In November 2007, Eluveitie was signed by Nuclear Blast. The group rose to fame following the release of their first major-label album, Slania, in February 2008. Killer Be Killed is an American heavy metal supergroup founded by Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato and Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera in early 2011. The lineup also features Mastodon bassist and co-vocalist Troy Sanders and Converge drummer Ben Koller. The band had slowly been working on material before announcing its name in October 2013, along with their signing to Nuclear Blast. The group's self-titled debut record was released in 2014. In September 2020, the group returned with a new single, and released their second album Reluctant Hero in November of that year.
