Weekly Shōnen Sunday is a weekly shōnen manga magazine published in Japan by Shogakukan since March 1959. Contrary to its title, Weekly Shōnen Sunday issues are released on Wednesdays. Weekly Shōnen Sunday has sold over 1.8 billion copies since 1986, making it the fourth best selling manga magazine, only behind Weekly Shōnen Jump, Weekly Shōnen Magazine and Weekly Young Jump.
Monthly Afternoon is a Japanese monthly seinen manga anthology published by Kodansha under the Afternoon line of magazines. The first issue was released with a cover date of January 25, 1986. Afternoon has spawned many successful manga series such as Oh My Goddess!, Genshiken, Blade of the Immortal and Big Windup!. It is part of Kodansha's "1day" series, which also includes the magazines Morning and Evening. A spin-off magazine, named good! Afternoon, started publishing on November 7, 2008.

It is released on the 24th of every odd-numbered month as of May 2021. Much like its sibling publication Shōnen Ace, it places some emphasis on anime tie-ins and spinoffs. Manga serialized in Asuka are published in tankōbon format under the Asuka Comics imprint.
Keiko Takemiya is a Japanese manga artist, professor and university administrator. As part of the Year 24 Group, she was a leading figure in shōjo manga scene in the 1970s creating such manga as Kaze to Ki no Uta, Toward the Terra, Natsu e no Tobira. Additionally she became head of the Faculty of Manga at Kyoto Seika University, and then later became the president of the university.

Monthly Comic Ryū is a Japanese monthly seinen manga and anime magazine published by Tokuma Shoten. The magazine was originally a quarterly special issue of Animage, beginning in 1979 before switching to a monthly schedule and finally suspending publication. On November 19, 2006, the magazine began to be published again, with the first new issue coming with a DVD of the exclusive OVA Onna Tachiguishi-Retsuden directed by world famous director Mamoru Oshii. On June 19, 2018, the magazine ceased printing and became an online magazine.

Originally serialized in Taiyo Tosyo Anthology Craft on a quarterly basis in 1999 in Japan, the first volume was published by Taiyo Tosho Co., Ltd. in 2002. Digital Manga Publishing published the English translation of Ill gatto sul G. in 2006.
Sumomo Yumeka is a Japanese manga artist, who also writes as Mizu Sahara. She writes in a variety of demographics, publishing yaoi manga as Sumomo Yumeka and seinen manga as Mizu Sahara She is best known in the west for The Day I Became a Butterfly and Same Cell Organism, both under the Yumeka byline, and the manga adaptation of Voices of a Distant Star under Mizu Sahara. Her series My Girl is being adapted as a live-action television series which began broadcasting in October 2009.
