Major General Craig Q. Timberlake is a United States Marine Corps officer. He is currently the Director of the Manpower Management Division. [1]

Career

Craig Timberlake joined the US Marine Corps in May 1977. He was commissioned in August 1984, and later graduated from Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, Virginia, in 1989. Previously, he was the deputy commander of the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Forces [2] [3] [4]

Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Timberlake was nominated for appointment to the rank of major general by the Secretary of Defense, Ash Carter, and was promoted. Timberlake at the time was serving as the director of manpower management in Quantico, Virginia. [5] He has also served in Afghanistan. [6] He was most recently the commanding general of the Third Marine Division. [7] [8]

Joseph Dunford 19th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff

Joseph Francis Dunford Jr. is a retired United States Marine Corps four-star general, who served as the 19th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from October 1, 2015 until September 30, 2019. He was the 36th Commandant of the Marine Corps. Dunford is the first Marine Corps officer to serve in four different four-star positions; the others include commander of the International Security Assistance Force and United States Forces – Afghanistan from February 2013 until August 2014, and as the 32nd Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps from October 23, 2010, to December 15, 2012. He has commanded several units, including the 5th Marine Regiment during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Bruno Hochmuth

Bruno Arthur Hochmuth was a United States Marine Corps major general who was killed in South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He was the first and only Marine Corps division commander to be killed in any war. He was also the first American general officer to be killed in Vietnam, although U.S. Air Force Major General William Crumm had been killed on July 24, 1967, in a B-52 bomber collision over the South China Sea. Hochmuth, four other Marines, and a South Vietnamese Army aide were killed when a UH-1E Huey helicopter they were riding in from VMO-3 exploded and crashed five miles northwest of Huế.

Lieutenant General Richard P. Mills is a retired United States Marine Corps officer, who served as commander of the Marine Forces Reserve from 2013 to 2015 and Marine Forces North, headquartered at the Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans. Previously he was Deputy Commandant for Combat Development and Integration and Commanding General, Marine Corps Combat Development Command in Quantico, Virginia, and, prior to that assignment, was commander of the I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward)/Regional Command Southwest in Afghanistan.

Viet Xuan Luong United States Army major general (born 1965)

Viet Xuan Luong is a retired United States Army major general. He is the first American officer promoted to general officer rank who was born in Vietnam. He last served the Commanding General for United States Army, Japan/I Corps Forward. He previously served as the Deputy Commanding General (Operations), Eighth Army. His prior assignments included chief of staff of United States Army Central; Director of Joint and Integration, Headquarters Department of the Army, G-8; assistant division commander–maneuver for the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, concurrent with assignment as commander, Train Advise Assist Command – South, Resolute Support Mission Joint Command, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Afghanistan.

Robert Neller US Marine Corps general and 37th Commandant of the Marine Corps

Robert Blake Neller is a retired United States Marine Corps four-star general who served as the 37th Commandant of the Marine Corps. He assumed his assignment on September 24, 2015 and retired on July 11, 2019. He was succeeded by David H. Berger. As Commander of USMARCENT, Neller oversaw "the worst loss of U.S. airpower in a single incident since the Vietnam War"

He previously served as Senior Military Assistant to the United States Secretary of Defense, a position for which he was nominated by James Mattis in September 2018. He was commissioned in 1985 after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, through a Naval ROTC program. He is the son of George W. Smith, who was a major general in the Marine Corps. On April 29, 2021, he was confirmed by the Senate to succeed Karsten Heckl as commander of the I Marine Expeditionary Force.

Paul W. Brier United States Marine Corps general

Paul W. Brier is a retired United States Marine Corps major general. A combat veteran of the Persian Gulf, Iraq, and Afghanistan wars, he retired on 31 December 2016, completing 36 years of military service. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. A 2012 CAPSTONE Fellow at the National Defense University, he is a graduate of the Defense Resources Management Institute, Naval Postgraduate School; Air War College; Joint Forces Staff College; and Marine Corps Command and Staff College.

Frederick M. Padilla is a retired U.S. Marine major general. Padilla previously served as commanding general of 3rd Marine Division.
