Filipino hip-hop or Pinoy hip hop is hip hop music performed by musicians of Filipino descent, both in the Philippines and overseas, especially by Filipino-Americans.
Pinoy rock, or Filipino rock, is the brand of rock music produced in the Philippines or by Filipinos. It has become as diverse as the rock music genre itself, and bands adopting this style are now further classified under more specific genres or combinations of genres like alternative rock, post-grunge, ethnic, new wave, pop rock, punk rock, funk, reggae, heavy metal, ska, and recently, indie. He is popularly known for his 2016 hit single, "Dahil Sa'yo", the first number one song on Billboard Philippines' then-new Philippine Top 20 chart which also won "Song of the Year" at the 30th Awit Awards, the Philippine version of the Grammys. He is the son of actor Piolo Pascual.
