Timothy Crispian Sallis (born 24 June 1959) is a British art director. He was nominated for three Academy Awards in the category Best Art Direction for the films Aliens , [2] Driving Miss Daisy [3] and Gladiator . [4] He is the son of actors Peter Sallis and Elaine Usher.

The Academy Award for Best Production Design recognizes achievement for art direction in film. The category's original name was Best Art Direction, but was changed to its current name in 2012 for the 85th Academy Awards. This change resulted from the Art Directors' branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) being renamed the Designers' branch. Since 1947, the award is shared with the set decorators. It is awarded to the best interior design in a film.

Scott Alexander Millan is an American sound re-recording mixer, a member of the board of governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and Sound Director for Technicolor at Paramount Studios. He is known for his collaborations with Sam Mendes, Tate Taylor, Oliver Stone, Frank Marshall, as well as his early work with Judd Apatow and the Farrelly brothers. Millan has won four Academy Awards for his work in sound for motion picture.

Vincent Korda was a Hungarian-born artist and art director, born in Túrkeve in what was then the Austro-Hungarian Empire. From 1918 to 1921 he lived and worked in the Nagybánya artists' colony, which was then a town in eastern Hungary. He continued to work as an artist in Paris and Cagnes-sur-Mer from 1923 to 1933. He become an art director in 1931, settling in Britain in 1933. He was the younger brother of Alexander and Zoltan Korda. He was nominated for four Academy Awards, winning once. He died in London, England. He is the father of four children, including writer and editor Michael Korda, and the grandfather of Chris Korda.

Urie McCleary was an American art director. He won two Academy Awards and was nominated for four more in the category Best Art Direction. He was born in Arkansas and died in Los Angeles, California.

Frank E. Hughes was an American set decorator. He won an Academy Award and was nominated for another in the category Best Art Direction.

Eugene "Gene" Allen was an American art director. He followed his father and became a Los Angeles Police officer after he was laid off from his first job as a sketch artist. After serving in the United States Navy during World War II, Allen went to art school to pursue his career. He won an Oscar in 1965 for Best Art Direction for My Fair Lady, and was nominated for A Star Is Born in 1955 and for Les Girls in 1958. He served as President of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences from 1983 to 1985 and received a Special Achievement Award from the Art Directors Guild in 1997. Allen died on October 7, 2015, at the age of 97.

Henry Grace was an American set decorator. He won an Oscar and was nominated for twelve more in the category Best Art Direction. As an actor, he had a role as Dwight D. Eisenhower, whom he strongly resembled, in The Longest Day.
