The Sleepy Jackson are an Australian alternative rock band formed in Perth, Western Australia. The band's name was inspired by a former drummer who was narcoleptic. The band revolves around the distinctive vocal style of multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Luke Steele. Stemming from a musical family, Luke's father Rick Steele is a local blues musician, and two of Luke's siblings are also musicians, with brother Jesse a former member of The Sleepy Jackson, and sister Katy, who fronts another Perth rock band, Little Birdy. While a series of acclaimed EPs brought The Sleepy Jackson to a broader musical attention of Australia, it was the release of their 2003 album Lovers and 2006 second album Personality – One Was a Spider, One Was a Bird that directed significant international focus upon the band.
Chicago 16 is the thirteenth studio album by the American band Chicago, released on June 7, 1982. It is considered their "comeback" album because it was their first album to go platinum since 1978's Hot Streets, it made it into the top ten of the Billboard 200, and it produced their second number one single in the United States, "Hard to Say I'm Sorry." The album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in August, 1982, two months after its release, and platinum in December, 1982, six months after its release. The song, "Hard to Say I'm Sorry" was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.

Love Hurts is the twentieth studio album by American singer-actress Cher, released on June 13, 1991 by Geffen Records. The RIAA certified it Gold on August 27, 1991. It is the final studio album with the record label Geffen. The lead single from the album was, "Love and Understanding" and the follow-up singles were "Save Up All Your Tears", "Love Hurts", "Could've Been You" and "When Lovers Become Strangers". It debuted at number 48 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart with the sales of 19,000. In November 2011, Billboard stated that Love Hurts has sold 600,000 copies in the US.

Live at Last is a live album by The Slickee Boys. It was released in April 1989 on the New Rose label on LP and CD; in the US it came out on Giant. Coinciding with the release of their album Fashionably Late, in May 1988 the band embarked on a brief tour of Europe. Live at Last is a document of one night on that tour, at Ubu in Rennes, France. The CD version of this album contain two extra tracks, "Your Autumn Eyes" and "(Are You Gonna Be There at The) Love-In". They perform songs from all but the earliest part of their twelve-year career, including the band's last original song, "This Party Sucks". Cover versions include songs originally by the French punk band the Dogs, the Status Quo, the Afrika Korps, and The Chocolate Watch Band. Not long after their European tour, founding member Kim Kane departed to focus on his other band, Date Bait. He was replaced by long-time roadie/sound guy/guest vocalist John Hanson until the band's farewell show in December 1990.

Love and Terror is the second and final album from the Scottish Indie band The Cinematics. The album's first single, "Love and Terror" was released on 13 July 2009. The second single is called "New Mexico" and it was released on 14 September 2009. Recorded at the now-defunct Park Lane Studios in Glasgow and also at various other locations, collectively referred to as "The Cinema" in the album liner-notes, Love and Terror was produced by The Cinematics' lead guitarist, Larry Reid. The album was mixed by Dave McLean of the band Union of Knives.
