Crumple is the second studio album of South Korean music producer Code Kunst. It was self-released on April 28, 2015. It was later nominated for Best Rap Album at the Korean Music Awards and peaked at number 34 on the Gaon Album Chart.
In an interview with BNT, Code Kunst explained why he named the album Crumple. [1]
People's faces usually crumple when they really appreciate music or movies. I got inspiration from that. It is a form of admiration that is shown on the face.
Code Kunst creates a dreamy atmosphere by using various synth sounds on top of a rhythm with thick texture. While his signature technique of combining noise and vocal sources is used, variations in beats such as the second half of "Dig!" and "What I Feel" stand out. Meanwhile, the featuring artists share their stories by rapping tightly as if they were competing with each other. [2]
"Golden Cow" depicts the past and present of C Jamm and Code Kunst. "Edison" bodies out the image of experimenting in a laboratory through variations in the hook and bridge. [3] "Love Scene" is the suicide note of a "pathetic" Asian man who fell in love with a beautiful white woman but got beaten up by her boyfriend. It reinterprets the texture and mood of hip hop drums in Britpop style. [4]
Lee Jin-seok of Rhythmer rated the album 4 out of 5 stars. According to him, it is evident that Code Kunst paid close attention to the texture and sound of each track and the instrument and sound sources are well harmonized. [2]
Critics of Music Y rated "Address" 4 out of 5 stars. According to Kim Jeong-won, it reflects Hwaji's concern about how to tell his story and reveals Code Kunst's ability to bring it forth. [5]

Kim Yoon-sung, known professionally as Gaeko is a South Korean rapper and hip hop recording artist. He and Choiza comprise the hip hop duo Dynamic Duo, which rose to fame upon the release of their debut album Taxi Driver in 2004. In 2015, he released his first solo album, Redingray.
AOMG is a South Korean hip-hop and R&B record label founded in 2013 by singer, rapper, and songwriter Jay Park. The label currently houses 19 musicians, UFC fighter Chan Sung Jung, and cartoonist Kian84.

Samuel Seo is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper, and record producer. Born in Seoul, he spent his youth living in his home country, as well as Japan, the United States, and Canada. An aspiring pianist, Seo's exposure to hip hop music in his teens led him to pursue the genre. He released a series of singles before enlisting and serving two years in military service.
Woo Won-jae, also known as Woo, is a South Korean rapper. In 2017, he released his debut single "We Are" which had commercial success and widespread acclaim. He has released one studio album and two EPs. He is currently signed to hip hop label AOMG.
John Lee, better known by his Korean name, Joon Lee, is a Korean American rapper, singer, songwriter, DJ, and most notably one-third of the South Korean R&B/hip-hop trio, Solid. He introduced turntablism to Korea in the mid '90s. He rose to fame and gained popularity in 1995 with the breakout hit "Holding Onto the End of the Night", from Solid's second album The Magic of 8 Ball (1995).
Kim Jin-il, better known by his stage name Jerry.K (Korean: 제리케이), is a South Korean rapper and head of the hip hop record label Daze Alive. He was previously a member of the hip hop duo Loquence with rapper Makesense.
