Christian Frederik Møller, generally referred to as C. F. Møller, was a Danish architect, professor and, from 1965 to 1969, the first rector of the Aarhus School of Architecture. His former practice, Arkitektfirmaet C. F. Møller, which he founded in 1924, still exists and bears his name. It is today the largest architectural firm in Denmark with branch offices in several countries.

Aksel (Axel) Einar (Ejnar) Utzon-Frank was a Danish sculptor and professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. During his lifetime, he produced many sculptures, some of which stand as public monuments. Utzon-Frank was son of Jens Christian Frank and Anna Cathrine Utzon. Anna Cathrine was sister to the grandfather of Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jørn Utzon.

Johan Daniel Herholdt was a Danish architect, professor and royal building inspector. He worked in the Historicist style and had a significant influence on Danish architecture during the second half of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. His most famous work is the Copenhagen University Library in Fiolstræde in Copenhagen which heralded a new trend. The strong use of red brick in large-scale cultural and civic buildings was to characterize Danish architecture for several decades. He was a leading proponent of the "national" school in Danish architecture of the period as opposed to Ferdinand Meldahl's and Vilhelm Dahlerup's "European" school.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Claus Berg</span> German sculptor and painter

Claus Berg was a German sculptor and painter who is remembered for his workshop in Odense and his decorative work in Danish churches, especially altarpieces and crucifixes. His finest work, the altarpiece which now stands in Odense Cathedral, was designed at the request of Queen Christine for the Franciscan abbey church of Gråbrødre which she had chosen as the burial site for her husband King Hans and herself.

Thorvald Andersen was a Danish architect. He contributed to Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen in the 1920s.

Frijsenborg is a manor house and estate near Hammel, 27 km (17 mi) northwest of Aarhus in Jutland, Denmark. The first manor on the site known as Jernit was built by Valdemar Parberg in 1583. After the statesman Mogens Friis acquired the property in 1672, the manor was rebuilt at the end of the 17th century. In the 1860s, it was considerably expanded and redesigned in the Renaissance style.

Hejmdal is a facility in Aarhus, Denmark owned by The Danish Cancer Society and used to counsel and house cancer patients and their families. The building is situated in the Trøjborg neighborhood on Peter Sabroe's Gade 1. Hejmdal was originally a part of Aarhus Municipal Hospital but has since been renovated. The American architect Frank Gehry worked pro bono on the redesign with the architect company Cubo Architects from Aarhus.
