The Cutty Sark Tournament was a golf tournament that was played from 1964 to 1972. It was a 72-hole stroke-play event, played in Scotland. John Panton won the event three times in the first four years. The event was sponsored by the owners of Cutty Sark whisky.

The Irish Open is a professional golf tournament on the European Tour.
The Scottish PGA Championship is a golf tournament played annually in Scotland since 1907. For many years the event was called the Scottish Professional Championship. It is the flagship event on the "Tartan Tour", the PGA Tour in Scotland's schedule. The 2016 event was the 100th staging of the Championship and the final event on the 2016 Tartan Tour schedule.
The German Open was a men's golf tournament. It was first staged in 1911 when the winner was Harry Vardon. The following year the champion was another of the Great Triumvirate of late 19th and early 20th century British golfers, John Henry Taylor. The tournament was then not played again for over a decade. It was played each year from 1926 to 1939; Percy Alliss won five times in this era, Auguste Boyer four times and Henry Cotton three.
The PGA Seniors Championship is a European Senior Tour golf tournament for men aged fifty and above. It was founded in 1957 and became part of the European Senior Tour on its founding in 1992. It was not held in 2016 or 2017 but returned in 2018 as the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship.
Peter Joseph Butler is an English professional golfer. He was one of the leading British golfers of the 1960s and early 1970s. He won a number of important tournaments, played in four Ryder Cup matches between 1965 and 1973 and featured in the top 60 on the British and later European Tour Order of Merit every year from 1959 to 1978.

The British PGA Matchplay Championship was a match play golf tournament that began in 1903 and ran until 1979. Between 1903 and 1969, the event was sponsored by the now defunct British newspaper the News of the World, and was commonly known by the paper's name. Initially organised as the championship of British professionals, the event came to include invited players from other countries – in particular from around the Commonwealth. On occasion, American professionals also took part, notably in 1949 when eight members of the victorious U.S. Ryder Cup side accepted invites to the event, Lloyd Mangrum reaching the semi-finals.
Malcolm Edward Gregson is an English professional golfer. After a promising start to his career as an amateur and assistant professional, he had one exceptional year, 1967, when he won the Harry Vardon Trophy and played in the Ryder Cup, but had only limited success afterwards. After reaching 50 he played on the European Senior Tour, winning five times.
The Piccadilly Medal was a men's professional golf tournament on the British PGA tournament circuit that was played in 1962 and from 1964 to 1976. Since the circuit later evolved into the European Tour, the tournament is recognised as an official European Tour event from 1972. It was played in a variety of formats. From 1962 to 1967 it was a 72-hole stroke-play event, in 1968 it was a four-ball better-ball match play event, from 1969 to 1975 it was a knockout stroke-play event while in 1976 it reverted to the 72-hole stroke-play format. From 1964 to 1968 the event was played on the East course at Wentworth, just before the Piccadilly World Match Play Championship which was played on the West Course there. Carreras withdrew their golf sponsorship after the 1976 season.
The Penfold Tournament was a golf tournament on the British PGA tournament circuit. Since the circuit later evolved into the European Tour, the tournament is recognised as an official European Tour event from 1972. It was played between 1932 and 1935, and from 1946 to 1974 at a variety of courses in the United Kingdom. The tournament was sponsored by Penfold Golf and was often played at coastal resorts, whose councils shared the costs. In 1974, Penfold were taken over by Colgate-Palmolive and continued their sponsorship through the Penfold PGA Championship from 1975 to 1977.
The Daks Tournament was an important professional golf tournament held in England from 1950 to 1971 and was generally held in early June. 17 of the 22 events were held at the Wentworth Club. Neil Coles enjoyed considerable success in the event winning the tournament four times and being a runner-up on four occasions. The tournament was sponsored by DAKS.
John Panton, MBE was a Scottish professional golfer, who represented Great Britain three times in the Ryder Cup.
Lionel Platts was an English professional golfer. He finished 7th in the PGA Order of Merit in both 1964 and 1965. He played in the 1965 Ryder Cup.
The Yorkshire Evening News Tournament was an international golf tournament in the English Yorkshire area before the European Tour was founded. It was a match play tournament for most of its existence, but switched to stroke play in the 1940s. The tournament was played annually from 1923 to 1963, with no tournaments held during World War II.
The North British-Harrogate Tournament was a professional golf tournament played in Harrogate, Yorkshire, England. It was played annually from 1947 to 1952. Total prize money was £2100. From 1947 to 1949 there were two qualifying rounds on two courses before the 72-hole event. There was a cut after 36 holes. From 1950 to 1952 the tournament was extended to 90 holes. Two courses were used on the first two days after which there was a cut. there was a further cut after three rounds.
The Bowmaker Tournament was an invitation pro-am golf tournament played from 1957 to 1970. Except in the first and final years the tournament was held at Sunningdale Golf Club. The main event was a 36-hole stroke play event for the professionals played over two days. There was also a better-ball event for the professional/amateur pairs.

The Scottish Coca-Cola Tournament was a golf tournament that was played from 1967 to 1983. It was a 72-hole stroke-play event, played in Scotland. David Huish won the event three times while Norman Wood, John Panton and Harry Bannerman each won in twice. Finlay Morris, the inaugural winner, died, aged 22, in a car accident three months after the event. From 1968 the Finlay Morris Memorial Trophy was awarded to leading player under the age of 25.
William Gordon Cunningham was a Scottish professional golfer. He won the 1969 Scottish Professional Championship. He played 11 times in the Open Championship, making the cut six times including five times in succession between 1965 and 1969.
Robert Taylor Walker was a Scottish professional golfer. He won the Scottish Professional Championship twice and was runner-up in the PGA Close Championship in 1962 and a semi-finalist in the 1970 PGA Match Play Championship. He represented Scotland in the 1964 Canada Cup. He played in the Open Championship nine times, making the cut three times.
