Cycling Team Kranj ( UCI team code:CTK) is a Slovenian UCI Continental cycling team which rejoined the Continental rank in 2022. [2] It originated from the amateur Kolesarski klub Kranj (Sava), which was founded in 1957. [3] [4]

Contents

Former riders include current UCI WorldTour Professionals Matej Mohorič [5] and Luka Mezgec [6] as well as former Professionals; Tadej Valjavec and Grega Bole. [1]

Grega Bole is a Slovenian professional road bicycle racer, who most recently rode for UCI WorldTeam Bahrain–McLaren. His biggest victory is the 2011 GP Ouest–France, where he launched a solo attack with 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) to go. He held on as the field was closing in rapidly, with only Simon Gerrans who was second on the day being awarded the same time as Bole. In 2015, Bole was the victor of the first stage of the inaugural Tour of Croatia after negotiating a series of bends where two crashes occurred.

The 2021 season for Team Bahrain Victorious was the fifth season in the team's existence, all of which have been as a UCI WorldTeam. After just one year, British car manufacturer McLaren withdrew from its co-title sponsorship, citing a desire to "focus on motorsport after the uncertainty caused ... by the coronavirus pandemic." The team then took on the name of Victorious Stables, a horse racing stable owned by team owner Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, with the adjective serving as "a constant reminder of [the team's] goal to achieve success at the highest level both on and off the bike."
