The Cyclo-cross Kalmthout is a cyclo-cross race held in Kalmthout, Belgium. First held in 1991 under the name "Grote prijs industrie Bosduin", [1] this race was a part of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup in 1999, 2002 and 2005 till 2010. [1] In the 2011-2012 season, it was replaced by Namen. [2]

Sven Nys is a former professional cyclist competing in cyclo-cross and mountain bike. With two world championships, seven world cups, and over 140 competitive victories, he is considered one of the best cyclo-cross racers of his generation, and remains a prominent figure in cyclo-cross. Apart from cyclo-cross, Nys is also fivefold national mountainbike champion, and has competed in that discipline in two Olympic games.
Katie Compton is an American bicycle racer. She specializes in cyclo-cross racing and is a 15-time national champion. Compton formerly piloted a tandem with a blind partner in Paralympic events.

The Cyclocross Crusade, currently in season 28, is a cyclo-cross race series based in Portland, Oregon held over an eight-week period during the months of October and November. As of 2005, the series was the largest cyclo-cross series in the United States. The 2006 series consisted of six races plus the U.S. Gran Prix of Cyclocross final. The Cross Crusade began hosting UCI-sanctioned events as part of the series in 2002.

The 2016–2017 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup – also known as the Telenet UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup for sponsorship reasons – was a season long cyclo-cross competition, organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).
