Mandisa Radebe professionally known as DBN Nquza Gogo, is a South African DJ and music producer. Born in Durban and raised in Pretoria, she gained local attention following release of her debut single "Khuza Gogo", which was certified Platinum in South Africa.

Career

Mandisa Radebe was born in Durban, but her family relocated to Pretoria where she grew up and spent her childhood. [1] [2] Her interest in music began at early age, participating in school choirs. [2] She studied law at the University of Pretoria. [3] [4]

In April 2020, she was featured on Channel O's Lockdown House Party hosted by Channel 0 and garnered local attention. [5]

"Khuza Gogo" featuring Mpura, Ama Avenger, and M.J was released on 19 March 2021. [6] The song was certified platinum by in South Africa. [7]

On 21 August 2021, her first collaborative EP Thokoza Café with DJ Dinho was released [8]

In October 2021, she became the first South African to join Global Equal programme by Spotify. [9] [10]

In 1 February, she was announced as a host of Boiler Room x Ballantine's True Music Studios. [11] Her record label Zikode Records was established in February 2022, in partnership with Universal Music Group. [12]

In March 2022, she was featured on Spotify Africa Radar programme. [13]

In 24 April, she headlined to Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival which was held in U.S. [14]

In early November 2022, She announced her debut studio album Whats Real.

The album was released on 25 November 2022. [15]

Personal life

Radebe is coming from a business and politically connected family. She is the daughter of former South African minister in the presidency Jeff Radebe who was also the former minister of energy. Businesswoman and mining magnate Bridgette Motsepe Radebe is her stepmother. [5]

She is also related to South African billionaire Patrice Motsepe and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Kgaogelo Moagi, known professionally as Master KG, is a South African musician and record producer. Born and raised in Tzaneen, his debut studio album Skeleton Move achieved acclaim including an AFRIMA Award for Best Artist/Group in the African Electro category. He is also known as the pioneer of "Bolobedu" dance.

Charmaine Shamiso Mapimbiro, professionally known as Sha Sha, is a Zimbabwean-born singer-songwriter from Mutare. She gained popularity for her collaborations with South African amapiano producers such as DJ Maphorisa and Kabza de Small.

Nomcebo Nothule Zikode is a South African singer and songwriter. Born in Hammarsdale, Zikode was a backing singer for several years. She collaborated with DJ Ganyani on their hit single "Emazulwini" (2018).

Tumelo Manyoni known professionally as Mr JazziQ, is a South African Amapiano DJ and record producer. He is best known for being a former member of the amapiano DJ duo, JazziDisciples.

MFR Souls is a South African amapiano music duo founded in 2012 by Tumelo Nedondwe and Tumelo Mabe, both of whom are DJ and music producers from Katlehong in the East Rand of Johannesburg. Their hit single "Love You Tonight" was commercial success certified platinum in South Africa.

Nkosazana Nolwazi Kimberly Nzama professionally known as Nkosazana Daughter, is a South African singer and songwriter. Nzama gained national recognition after she released her 14-track debut album that featured notable artists such as DJ Maphorisa, Makhadzi, Master KG, Kabza de Small,Tyler ICU, Major League DJz, Young Jonn, and Chronical Deep, and others. She collaborated with Master KG and Lowsheen on "Sofa Silahlane", which was released on 12 May 2022. The track hit number 1 on Apple's Local iTunes Charts. In April 2022, the music video of 'Dali Nguwe' featuring Master KG reached 3 million views in three weeks. In June 2023, her debut studio album got released and charted number 34 on Spotify Top albums, and debuted number 3 in South Africa. She has performed in Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, United States and several other countries.
