DEL Records are an American Spanish language record label founded by Angel Del Villar in 2009. Its headquarters is in Bell Gardens, California and includes DEL Records, DEL Publishing, DEL Studios and DEL Entertainment, all of which focus on regional Mexican music, specifically with genres from Mexico's pacific states such as banda, Pacific-style norteño, norteño-banda, sierreño, sierreño-banda and mariachi. DEL Records has launched the careers of chart-topping artists like Gerardo Ortíz, Luis Coronel, Ulices Chaidez y Sus Plebes, and Régulo Caro. [2] DEL Records and its artists are frequent winners at the Billboard Latin Music Awards including five in 2017. [3] In seven years, DEL's sales, touring and content development divisions lead and transform the genre. DEL boasts 3 platinum and 9 gold records, and more than 10 #1 singles, as well as #1 albums. DEL Records’ artist tours every week of the year, with over 200 live concert dates in the US and Mexico.
The label was formed by Angel who previously ran a fencing company. The label's first signing was with Gerardo Ortíz in 2010. Originally, DEL Records had a partnership with Anaheim, California based VIP Music. [4] The label is currently distributed Independently. [5]
In April 2015, DEL Records donated $12,200 to the Rowland Unified School District in Rowland Heights, California in order to help with their area student and teacher scholarships. [6]
In 2016, DEL Records received six Billboard Latin Music Awards including those for Regional Mexican Airplay Label of the Year, Regional Mexican Airplay Imprint of the Year and Regional Mexican Albums Imprint of the Year.
On April 14, 2016, the label entered into a partnership with Combate Americas, the first-ever U.S. Hispanic Mixed Martial Arts sports franchise. The premier event was April 18, 2016 for NBC Universo's fight series, Road to the Championship. Regulo Caro and King Lil G walked the MMA fighters to the cage and also performed later in the night. [7] Also in 2016, DEL Records partnered with local and national organizations to launch "Shut Up the Haters and Vote," which encouraged high school students of eligible age to register to vote. [8]
Two years after the death of their artist Ariel Camacho, DEL Records released on February 24, 2017, a tribute album of duets with other artists on the label such as Gerardo Ortiz, Luis Coronel and Regulo Caro. Ariel Camacho Para Siempre Duetos, Vol.1 includes a 15-minute DVD of unreleased footage of Camacho. [9] Los Plebes del Rancho de Ariel Camacho, the group formed after the singer's death from his band, received eight 2017 Billboard Latin Music Award nominations, and won three of them. [10]
DEL Records received five Billboard Latin Music Awards in 2017, among them Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Duo or Group and Regional Mexican Songs Artist of the Year Erick Hernandez. [3]
In 2024, Angel Del Villar and Javier “El Tamarindo” Gonzalez launched a music distribution company, DSTRO7, Inc. The distributor will be both DEL Records and Tamarindo Recordz exclusive distributor.

Regional Mexican music refers collectively to the regional subgenres of the country music of Mexico and its derivatives from the Southwestern United States. Each subgenre is representative of a certain region and its popularity also varies by regions. Subgenres include banda, country en Español, Duranguense, grupero, mariachi, New Mexico music, Norteño, Sierreño, Tejano, and Tierra Caliente. It is among the most popular radio formats targeting Mexican Americans in the United States.
Regional Mexican Airplay is a record chart published by Billboard magazine. It was established by the magazine on October 8, 1994, with "La Niña Fresa" by Banda Zeta being the first number-one song on the chart. The chart mainly focuses on the styles of music from the different rural regions of Mexico such as mariachi, norteño, and banda, as well as the Mexican-American community in the United States such as Tejano. These genres are collectively referred to as "regional Mexican" under the Latin music umbrella.

Joyas Prestadas: Pop and Joyas Prestadas: Banda are the 11th and final studio albums by recording artist Jenni Rivera, released on November 21, 2011, by Fonovisa Records. Joyas Prestadas consists of a double album with eleven cover songs, each recorded with two distinct styles of music. The first half being recorded in pop, while the second was recorded in the Regional Mexican subgenre of banda. The album was produced by Enrique Martinez. According to Rivera, the songs she chose to cover were those she was enamored with while working as a cashier in a record store.

Larry Hernández is a Mexican-American singer songwriter, and television personality known for his work in the regional Mexican music genre, specifically in the styles of banda, Pacific norteño and norteño-banda. Hernandez's biggest influence and idol is the late Chalino Sanchez, but he also feels admiration for many artists and his musical influences have a big range. He is a distant cousin of fellow regional Mexican artist El Potro de Sinaloa.

José Ariel Camacho Barraza was a Mexican musician and singer-songwriter. He predominantly performed regional Mexican music, mainly corridos. He was the lead singer and lead guitarist of his group, Ariel Camacho y Los Plebes del Rancho. In 2013 Ariel Camacho y Los Plebes del Rancho signed to JG Records where they frequently played in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. In 2014 they signed with DEL Records, which allowed them to play their music in the United States.

Los Plebes del Rancho de Ariel Camacho are a regional Mexican band, specializing in the sierreño-banda style. The group was founded in 2013 as Ariel Camacho y Los Plebes del Rancho, by Mexican musician Ariel Camacho and his friend César Sánchez and were originally signed to JG Entertainment. They signed with DEL Records in 2014, but then left in 2016 due to disputes with the owner. The death of Ariel Camacho caused changes to the group.

Eslabon Armado is an American regional Mexican group from Patterson, California formed in 2017. The group consists of Pedro Tovar, Brian Tovar (bass), Damian Pacheco, and Ulises González, with González joining in 2021 after Hidalgo left the group in 2020, with the Tovar brothers being the only consistent members.
Natanael Ruben Cano Monge is a Mexican rapper, musician and singer. Natanael is known for his fusion of trap music and regional Mexican corridos, known as corridos tumbados. The idea to fuse the two genres was proposed by Dan Sanchez who wrote Natanael's first corrido tumbado, "Soy el Diablo".
Forajido, also titled Forajido EP1 is the second extended play by Mexican musician, singer and songwriter Christian Nodal, released on May 27, 2022, through Sony Music Latin. Sólo me faltabas tú is the twenty-sixth studio album by Mexican actress and singer Lucero, released on November 1, 2019, by the record label "Fonovisa" in collaboration with Universal Music Latino. This is Lucero's third album in the regional Mexican genre in the Sinaloan band category, and also the third produced by Luciano Luna. The songs in this album consist of six original tracks and others are covers of hits previously performed by other artists.With this album, along with the success of her previous albums, Lucero demonstrates her interest in continuing within the Sinaloan band genre.
