Lutendo Kungoane, is a South African DJ and record producer professionally known as DJ Sliqe (or simply Sliqe), he came to prominence subsequent to the release of his single "Do Like I Do" featuring Kwesta and Flabba of Skwatta Kamp.

On the 4th of June 2016 he won a South African Music Award (SAMA) for the Best Remix Category with his single "Do Like I Do (Remix)" featuring L-Tido, Riky Rick, Kwesta, Nadia Nakai, Reason and the late Flabba. [1] [2] [3] He was the first local hip-hop DJ to win such an award.

In 2020, Kungoane was named head of Hip Hop and R&B at Sony Music Entertainment South Africa. [4] [5]

In 2020 Sliqe put out a collaborative album titled Champion Music with Maglera and 25k, the trio once again release a sequel collaborative album titled Champion Music 2 through Kennel Music under exclusive license from Sony Music Entertainment Africa.[ citation needed ]

Senzo Mfundo Vilakazi known professionally as Kwesta, is a South African rapper and songwriter. Born in Katlehong, Gauteng, a township also known as "K1". In 2003, at the age of 15, he and his friends formed a rap group Ghetto Fellaz which then changed to The Juvenylz, same year. He is currently signed to his own independent media company known as RapLyf Records with co-founder Kid X.

<i>DaKAR II</i> 2016 album by Kwesta

DaKAR II is the third studio album by South African hip hop recording artist and poet Kwesta. The album was released on 26 February 2016, by Urbantainment, under exclusive license to Sony Music Entertainment Africa. The album was certified diamond and became South Africa's best selling hip-hop album of all time.

Refilwe Boingotlo Moeketsi, known professionally as Fifi Cooper is a South African recording artist. Fifi Cooper started her music career as an R&B singer before her musical versatility saw her release her breakthrough rap single "Chechela Morago" in 2010. In 2015, she released her award-winning debut studio album 20FIFI.

"Ngud'" is a song from South African rapper Kwesta's third studio album DaKAR II (2016). The song features a guest appearance from Cassper Nyovest. The song was produced by DJ Maphorisa and samples Joakim's remix of "Camino Del Sol" by Antena. It debuted at number 1 on iTunes and also debuted at number 7 on the EMA Local Top 10 chart. It peaked at number 1, making it Kwesta's first number one on the chart. It was certified 5× platinum by RISA. As of June 2016, the song had spent 14 non-consecutive weeks at 1 and was the most playlisted song on South African radio in 2016.

Jabulani Hadebe, known professionally as Sjava, is a South African singer, rapper, and actor. He began his acting career in 2005, starring in several drama series and films including uGugu no Andile (2009). He then rose to prominence on the drama series Zone 14, where he starred for three consecutive seasons, Isibaya and the second season of Ehostela. Sjava ventured into the music industry and signed to record label Ambitiouz Entertainment. He gained mainstream popularity after he was featured on Miss Pru's acclaimed song "Ameni" in 2015.

The 24th Annual South African Music Awards was held at Sun City, in the North West on 2 June 2018. The list of nominees was announced on 19 April 2018 at Birchwood Hotel in Ekurhuleni. Mafikizolo, Mi Casa and Shekhinah each received a node of nomination Other artists with multiple nominations include Mobi Dixon, Distruction Boyz and Riky Rick. Spiritchaser are a South African musical duo best known for 2011 number one South African hit single "These Tears" co-produced and written with UK artist Est8 and licensed to Sony Music Entertainment (Africa) in 2011 and featured on Now! That's What I Call Music 56. The record spent over 38 Weeks in the South African ‘Media Guide Top Ten retaining number one spot for over an 8 week period. This led to a tour of South Africa playing on the same bill as South African DJ Black Coffee live at The Vodacom Unlimited Experience in Durban on Friday, 16 December 2011. The piano from "These Tears" was subsequently used by Johannesburg born and SAHHA nominated music producer Makwa in Kwesta's follow-up 2018 number one hit record in South Africa called Spirit which was Certified Platinum by RISA and nominated for the South African Music Awards. "These Tears" was also used in the CBS television series Ringer in 2012.

<i>Pink Panther</i> (Tshego album) 2019 studio album by Tshego

Pink Panther is the debut album by South African R&B singer Tshego. The album was released on 29 August 2019, through Twenty Five Eight Entertainment, and licensed through Universal Music South Africa. The album was executively produced by Tshego, and Alie Keys; with additional production from Yaw Bannerman, Gemini Major, and Lunatik. It features guest appearances from King Monada, Riky Rick, Kwesta, Black Class, Tellaman, Thabsie, Focalistic, and Frank Casino.

Yanga Ntshakaza, professionally known as Yanga Chief is a South African rapper, record producer and singer-songwriter. Born in Mthatha and raised in Queenstown, Yanga studied film studies at University of Johannesburg.

Sizwe Moeketsi Moniker is a South African musician commonly known as Reason, a name he uses as a rapper. He is also known as Sizwe Alakine, an alter ego he adopted after taking up a career in Amapiano.
