DaShon Lamor Polk (born March 13, 1977) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He played professionally for the Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans.
Polk was born in Pacoima, California and attended Taft High School where he was selected for All-City. [1] Polk played college football at the University of Arizona and was a three-year starter. [2]
Polk was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the seventh round (251st pick overall) in the 2000 NFL draft. [3] [4] He played for the Bills from 2000 to 2003, before playing for the Houston Texans from 2004 to 2006. Polk played seven seasons, accumulating 224 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles, in the NFL before retiring. [5] Now Dashon L. Polk has retired (2007). He has a wife of 17 years and 3 children.

William Howard Taft Charter High School is a public school located on the corner of Ventura Boulevard and Winnetka Avenue in the Woodland Hills district of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California, within the Los Angeles Unified School District. The school gained affiliated charter status beginning with the 2013–2014 school year.

Mercilus spent the entirety of his first nine seasons with Houston, earning a second-team All-Pro selection in 2016. After being released by the Texans early into the 2021 season, he last played for the Green Bay Packers.
