Colombia, officially the Republic of Colombia, is a country primarily located in South America with insular regions in North America. The Colombian mainland is bordered by the Caribbean Sea to the north, Venezuela to the east and northeast, Brazil to the southeast, Ecuador and Peru to the south and southwest, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and Panama to the northwest. Colombia is divided into 32 departments. The Capital District of Bogotá is also the country's largest city hosting the main financial and cultural hub. Other major urban areas include Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Santa Marta, Cúcuta, Ibagué, Villavicencio and Bucaramanga. It covers an area of 1,141,748 square kilometers and has a population of around 52 million. Its rich cultural heritage—including language, religion, cuisine, and art—reflects its history as a colony, fusing cultural elements brought by immigration from Europe and the Middle East, with those brought by the African diaspora, as well as with those of the various Indigenous civilizations that predate colonization. Spanish is the official language, although Creole, English and 64 other languages are recognized regionally.

John la Zouche, 7th Baron Zouche, 8th Baron St Maur (1459–1526) was a Yorkist nobleman and politician. He was noted for his loyalty to Richard III, under whose command he fought at the Battle of Bosworth, where Richard was killed. Under the victorious Tudor dynasty he suffered attainder and forfeiture of his property, but he was eventually restored to royal favour, due partly to a marriage connection to the new King's mother.

The John Carney House is a historic house located at 306 E. Market St. in Troy, Illinois. The house was built in 1871 for John Carney, a local businessman, and his wife Elizabeth, who came from the locally prominent Koerner family. The Italianate house is one of the few designed in the style in Troy. The two-story house features a recessed three-story tower at the entrance. The porches at the front and rear entrances have Victorian designs with post arches and brackets. The house's design includes tall round-headed windows and scrolled brackets along the cornice.

Eliphalet Daniels was a British Colonial America-born military leader. He served as a commander in the New Hampshire Militia of Fort Sullivan in Kittery, now Maine. Daniels also served as an officer under Timothy Bedel's Regiment of Continentals. In August 1776 he offered a two dollar reward for a drummer who went AWOL from his post.
