Sebastian Da Costa (born 1990 in Luanda, Angola), better known by his stage name Daco Junior, is a singer/songwriter, rapper and a record producer from Vaasa, Finland. Daco Junior debuted in December 2010 with the single "Sane", which is an official remake of The Ark's hit single "It Takes a Fool to Remain Sane". The single was released through Daco Juniors own label Unidream Music and received widespread attention especially amongst Swedish-speaking media outlets in Finland. [1] [2]

Gravity

In July 2011, a little over half a year later Daco Junior released a follow-up single "Gravity" through his own label Unidream Music as well. [3] The single was chosen to a weekly "Hot or Not" radio program on YleX, where the listeners decide the hottest track of the week. [4] Winning the weekly competition [5] Daco Junior's "Gravity" earned its way to the playlist on Finlands national radio. Spent 15 weeks on top positions of the playlist in total and charted as number No. 1, two times consecutively. The single was eventually awarded as the most requested song of the year 2011, by Finlands national radio YleX.

Heartbeat Solo

In the very beginning of 2012 Daco Junior signed a record deal with Universal Music Finland. [6] Released three more singles "Like An Astronaut", [7] "Perfect Runaway" featuring Kristiina Wheeler [8] and "How Far" featuring Madcon. [9] [10] Daco Junior released his first major label album "Heartbeat Solo" in February 2013.

Redrama won the English-language Finnish championship of rapping in 2001 and he also won the Finnish Grammy (Emma) award for The Best Hip Hop Album in 2005.

Finland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "Marry Me" written by Krista Siegfrids, Erik Nyholm, Kristofer Karlsson and Jessika Lundström. The song was performed by Krista Siegfrids. The Finnish broadcaster Yleisradio (Yle) organised the national final Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2013 in order to select the Finnish entry for the 2013 contest in Malmö, Sweden. 12 entries were selected to compete in the national final, which consisted of two heats, a semi-final and a final, taking place in January and February 2013. Eight entries ultimately competed in the final on 9 February where the 50/50 combination of votes from a four-member judging panel and votes from the public selected "Marry Me" performed by Krista Siegfrids as the winner.

Ali Jahangiri is an Iranian-born Finnish stand up comedian and media presenter. He often makes jokes about the prejudice the Finns feel towards immigrants.

Vauhti kiihtyy is a song by Finnish iskelmä duo Matin ja Teppo, released in 1989 on the album Aito Tunne, and on a seven-inch vinyl single. The song is written by Matti Rouhonen and composed by Veli-Pekka Lehto.
