Delta State is a state in the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Named after the Niger Delta—a large part of which is in the state—the state was formed from the former Bendel State on August 27, 1991. Bordered on the north by Edo State, the east by Anambra and Rivers States, and the south by Bayelsa State, while to the west is the Bight of Benin which covers about 160 kilometres of the state's coastline. The State was initially created with 12 local government areas in 1991 which was later extended to 19 and now has 25 local government areas. Asaba as its state capital is located along the River Niger on the northeastern end of the State, while the state's economic centre is the twin cities of Warri and Uvwie.

Isoko South is a local government area (LGA) in the Isoko region of Delta State, Nigeria. With its headquarters at Oleh, Nigeria, it is one of the two local governments that make up the Isoko region. The other is Isoko North, which has its headquarters at Ozoro.

Akindele starred in the sitcom I Need to Know from 1998 to 2002, and in 2009, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. for her role in Jenifa, which brought her into fame. Akindele reprised the role in a 2015 television series adaption titled Jenifa's Diary, for which she was named the Best Actress in a Comedy at the 2016 and 2017 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. Akindele won the same award in 2020 and 2022, making it her fifth win for the Best Actress in a Comedy category. Akindele is the most nominated actress/filmmaker at the AMVCA and currently owns six wins which makes her the actress with most wins. She is the second director to gross over a billion naira at the Nigeria box office.

Baba Fryo born Friday Igwe is a veteran Nigerian singer from Ajegunle. He is known for releasing street songs. His most popular song in Nigeria was titled "Dem go dey pose" which he released in the late 1990s. The song was written in Nigerian Pidgin, to become popular with a dancing style, known as Galala, invented by legendary Baba Fryo and his Ajegunle music colleagues such as Daddy Fresh, Daddy Showkey.

He was the founding member, leader, lead vocalist, and songwriter, of the group “DE Pretty Busy Boys” which comprises Daddy Showkey Cashman Davies and Sexy Pretty. He became famous in the late 1990s all over Nigeria. During this time, he was honored as the "King of the Ajegunle Musicians" for his innovation of a music genre known as galala or ghetto music. Ghetto music's development was not entirely his own, as it was also influenced by the work of Daddy Showkey and Baba Fryo.
Seun Ajayi is a Nigerian actor. He is a native of Ijebu Ibefun, Ogun State, Nigeria. He is known for his role in the television series Hustle. Ajayi was born on 31 March in Kaduna, the Northern part of Nigeria and is the last child among five children. His family moved to Lagos when he was nine years old. His father is a retired civil servant and his mother is a business woman. He had his primary and secondary education in Lagos and his tertiary education in the University of Lagos where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts.
Mabel Akomu Oboh, popularly known as Mabel Oboh is a Nigerian broadcaster, actress, film producer and founder Mabeloboh Center For Save Our Stars (MOCSOS). She is the first television film independent producer/director and the second female soap opera producer in Nigeria with her drama series titled Victims that later became a network productions in the '80s on Nigerian Television Authority.
Peter Okoye, who is better known as Mr P, is a Nigerian singer. He rose to fame in the 2000s as a member of the P-Square duo with his identical twin brother Rudeboy and in 2021 was awarded with an honorary Doctorate degree from ESCAE University in Benin Republic.
