Dagoll Dagom is a Catalan theatre company founded in 1974, mostly dedicated to musical theater. They have performed around 5,000 times in Europe and South America. Dagoll Dagom have also created television series and released soundtrack albums. In 2015 they received the Joan Coromines Prize. [1]

Gerard Quintana i Rodeja is a Catalan singer, songwriter, poet, novelist, actor, and radio and TV personality. He first came to prominence in 1986-2001 as the lead singer of the rock band Sopa de Cabra. Sopa de Cabra was one of the leading bands of the rock català genre. Since the dissolution of the band in 2001, Quintana has pursued a successful solo career. As a singer-songwriter, he completed five albums between 2003 and 2010, together with three in collaboration with Jordi Batiste, and a recent album (2014) with Xarim Aresté. He also writes and publishes poetry, and has written regularly as a journalist for online Catalan newspapers and journals. He appeared in the short film Diogenes, the dog. Since the publication of his first novel in 2019 he is also establishing himself as a serious novelist.

The Premi Sant Jordi de novel·la is an award for Catalan language literature, given by Òmnium Cultural and Enciclopèdia Catalana.

Miquel Obiols was a Spanish writer. He was born in Roda de Ter. He went to university to study pharmacy but finished with a degree in Romance languages. He was one of the creators of the first Catalan television program for children called Terra d’escudella. He went on to develop other shows for television, such as Planeta Imaginari and Juego de Niños. He also worked in the theatre; La Nit de Sant Joan de Dagoll Dagom was a stage adaptation of his book A l’inrevés.

The winning poem is selected from original, unpublished poems during the Literary Night of Saint Lucía, organized by the Òmnium Cultural association. It has an endowment of €5,000.
