Dalkeith Saints Basketball Club was a Scottish basketball club founded in 1964 in Dalkeith, a suburb of Edinburgh.
Originally formed in 1923 as Dalkeith St. John's & Kings Park Lads Club and a founding member of the Union of Boys Clubs Midlothian, Dalkeith Saints was renamed by President Alex Jack. [1] After initially being a youth team the Senior team was formed in 1964 and renamed as the Dalkeith Saints [1] and in 1969 he was invited to attend the first Scottish national basketball championship.
The men's team was one of the top Scotland teams between the '70s and early' 80s, reaching three finals of the Scottish Cup in six years and competing in 1979-80 European Korac Cup ( they were defeated by Valladolid in the second qualifying round), while the women's team won the Scottish Cup twice and Scottish league three times.
In 1997, the Saints merged with Livingston Bulls, to form Midlothian Bulls.

Easthouses Lily Miners Welfare Football Club are a Scottish football club, based in the Midlothian town of Easthouses. The team currently plays in the East of Scotland League Second Division, having moved from the junior leagues in 2018. The club was formed in 1950, following the establishment of the Easthouses Colliery earlier in the 20th century. Home matches are played at Newbattle Complex.

Newtongrange is a former mining village in Midlothian, Scotland. Known in local dialect as Nitten, or Nitten by the Bing , it became Scotland's largest mining village in the 1890s, with the sinking of the Lady Victoria Colliery and a shaft over 1600 feet deep. This closed in 1981 but today houses the National Mining Museum, an Anchor Point of ERIH - The European Route of Industrial Heritage.

The Midlothian Bulls were a basketball team, first based in Livingston, Scotland, later in Kirkliston to the west of Edinburgh. The team's history starts in 1989, following the withdrawal of the MIM Livingston team owned by businessman David Murray that competed in the British Basketball League. Both teams share a "crossover" history; the MIM team competed in the Scottish National League for two more years following their withdrawal from the BBL; the Bulls then continued in the success of their predecessor, winning numerous Scottish Cup and league titles. In 1997, the Bulls merged with the Dalkeith Saints to form the Midlothian Bulls, winning the league and cup once more. The team played their final game at the end of the 2000–01 season.
