Damon Way (born September 23, 1971) is an American designer, brand marketer, entrepreneur and musician. He co-founded DC Shoes [1] [2] in 1994. In 2008 he became a partner at Incase Designs, and transitioned to Chief Brand Officer. [3] In 2016 he launched skateboarding apparel brand, FACT. [4] In 2018 he cofounded spatial audio brand Syng, [5] where he is Chief Brand Officer.
Damon Way was born in Portland, Oregon in 1971. He was brought up by his mother alongside younger brother, and professional skateboarder, Danny Way, in San Diego California.
In 1991, he started Eightball clothing with friend Ken Block and Danny Way. [2] They would go on to create a number of brands throughout the early 1990s: Droors Clothing, Dub Brand Outerwear, Blunt Snowboard Magazine, and DC Shoes. [6] In 2004 DC Shoes was sold to Quiksilver. [7] In 2008 Damon left DCShoes to become the Chief Brand Officer and partner at Incase Designs. Damon launched FACT in June, 2016 as a new brand idea deriving from familiar elements of music and skateboarding he experienced through the '80s and '90s. [8] In 2016 he joined ex-Apple designer Christopher Stringer to start Syng, [9] a company committed to advancing spatial sound technologies.
Quiksilver is an American brand of surf-inspired apparel and accessories that was founded in 1969 in Torquay, Victoria, but is now based in Huntington Beach, California. It is one of the world's largest brands of surfwear and boardsport-related equipment. The parent company changed its name in March 2017 from Quiksilver, Inc. to Boardriders, Inc., and is the owner of the brands Quiksilver, Roxy and DC Shoes. In 2018, Boardriders acquired Billabong International Limited, gaining the Billabong, Element, Von Zipper, RVCA and XCEL brands. Authentic Brands Group bought Boardriders and its associated brands and intellectual property in 2023.

Daewon Song is an American professional skateboarder. He is co-owner of Thank You Skateboards, and skates for the company. Song was named the 2006 "Skater of the Year" by Thrasher magazine, an award that is widely considered to be one of the most significant honors in skateboarding.
Geoffrey Joseph Rowley Jr. is an English professional skateboarder, former co-owner of Flip Skateboards and owner of the Civilware Service Corporation. He received Thrasher Magazine's "Skater of the Year" award in 2000.
Danny Way is an American professional skateboarder and business person. He has been awarded Thrasher magazine's "Skater of the Year" award twice. He is known for extreme stunts, such as jumping into a skateboard ramp from a helicopter; that was featured on the cover of Transworld Skateboarding magazine. One of his more notable stunts was jumping the Great Wall of China on a skateboard via megaramp.
Chad Muska is an American professional skateboarder, musician and entrepreneur. In November 2012, Skin Phillips, editor-in-chief of Transworld Skateboarding, described Muska as "one of the most marketable pros skateboarding has ever seen."
Billabong International Limited is an Australian company focused on surfing, primarily a clothing retailer that also produces accessories, such as watches and backpacks, and skateboard and snowboard products under other brand names. Founded in 1973 by Gordon and Rena Merchant, the company first traded on the Australian Securities Exchange in August 2000. The name "billabong" is derived from the Wiradjuri word bilabaŋ that refers to a "creek that runs only during the rainy season". As of September 2013, Von Zipper and Element were two of the prominent brands that Billabong owns. Honolua Surf Company, Kustom, Palmers Surf, Xcel, Tigerlily, Sector 9, and RVCA were the company's other brands. In 2018, Billabong International Limited was acquired by Boardriders, Inc, owner of rival brand Quiksilver.

Gonzales has since left the company and today the company continues under the ownership of Dwindle Distribution. The company produces decks, wheels, soft goods and accessories. The company's logo for many years was a stylized grim reaper.

The company which was out of the market for almost two years (2016-2017) has now been acquired for a global re-launch by Town Connection, an investment group with its headquarters in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
