Dan Grayson (1967-Aug. 1, 2021) was a former American football linebacker who played one season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). [1] He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round of the 1990 NFL Draft. [2] He played college football at Washington State University, where he was a 1st Team All-Pac-10 selection at linebacker in 1989. Due to his behavioral difficulties and change in personality, Grayson believed he had chronic traumatic encephalopathy from his football career and donated his brain to science. [3]

After playing college football at Washington State University, Alipate played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL from 1989 to 1992. In 1989, he was part of the Roughriders team that won the 77th Grey Cup. After being cut by the Roughriders, Alipate tried out for multiple NFL teams and received a practice squad position with the New York Jets. He went on to play for both the Jets and the Minnesota Vikings from 1994 to 1996, primarily on special teams. He also had a short stint with the Green Bay Packers in 1995.
