The Celtic Warriors were a rugby union team from Wales, who played in the 2003–04 Celtic League and the 2003–04 Heineken Cup following the introduction of regional rugby union teams in Wales. They were effectively a temporary merger of Pontypridd RFC and Bridgend RFC. The Celtic Warriors played just one season before disbanding.
The Ospreys, formerly the Neath-Swansea Ospreys is one of the four professional rugby union teams from Wales. They compete in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup. The team formed as a result of Neath RFC and Swansea RFC combining to create a new merged entity, as part of the new regional structure of Welsh rugby, that began in 2003. They are also affiliated with a number of local semi-professional and amateur clubs, including Welsh Premier Division sides Aberavon RFC, Bridgend Ravens, and original founding clubs Neath and Swansea. The regional area represented by the team has widely become known for rugby purposes as 'Ospreylia'.
Dragons are one of the four professional rugby union regional teams in Wales. They are owned by the Welsh Rugby Union and play their home games at Rodney Parade, Newport and at other grounds around the region. They play in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup/European Rugby Challenge Cup. The region they represent covers an area of southeast Wales including Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen with a total population approaching 600,000 and they are affiliated with a number of semi-professional and amateur clubs throughout the area, including Pontypool RFC, Caerphilly RFC, Cross Keys RFC, Ebbw Vale RFC and Newport RFC.
Gavin Lloyd Henson is a Welsh former professional rugby union player, who played as a fly-half, fullback and inside centre.

Lee Sean Byrne is a Welsh former professional rugby union and rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2010s.
Aled Brew is a former Wales international rugby union player who played as a winger. He made his debut for the Wales national rugby union team against Ireland in the 2007 Six Nations Championship. In his career, as well as playing for Biarritz Olympique and Bath Rugby, he is one of only a handful of players to have played for all four top-level regional teams in Wales.
Lyn Jones is a former Wales international rugby union player, and now works as a coach. A flanker, Jones has experience at various different levels of the game, both as a player and a coach. Jones played most of his playing career for Neath RFC. He started his coaching career at the same club. He has coached professional clubs in Wales and England, and since 2018 has been head coach of the Russian national rugby union team.
Paul Turner is a former Wales international rugby union player and the former head coach of Welsh regional side Newport Gwent Dragons.
Michael Hook is a rugby union skills coach and Head coach at the Ospreys and Welsh Premiership team the Bridgend Ravens Respectfully. Hook played the position of fly-half. Brother of Wales international James Hook he has represented Wales U16S up to U21s playing in two U21 world cups as well as being a part of the Grand Slam winning U21s team in 2003.
Richard Mustoe is a former Welsh rugby union footballer. A winger, he played for Bridgend, Celtic Warriors, Ospreys and the Cardiff Blues. In July 2007 he joined Newport Gwent Dragons on a one-season loan from the Ospreys, making 20 appearances and scoring 15 points for the Dragons. After returning from his loan deal at the Dragons he moved to Cardiff in 2008.
Byron Idris Hayward is a former international rugby union full back who played for Wales and Wales A. He had an impressive debut for Wales scoring three tries in his first international match against Zimbabwe. Hayward caused controversy in 2000 by refusing to play against Scotland A in Bridgend because of the inclusion of foreign players Shane Howarth and Brett Sinkinson. This was in the heat of the Grannygate scandal, both players claimed to have Welsh grandparents that would later be found to be false.
Shaun Connor is a former Wales 7s international rugby union player and current backs coach of the Russian National Team. He was part of the Ospreys team that defeated Australia, where he played a crucial role and was named Man Of The Match. He has previously played for the Ospreys, being the first back to make 100 appearances for the club, and the Dragons. After retiring he went on to coach the Ospreys Under 20s and also worked with the Dragons as backs coach.
Jason Tovey is a Welsh rugby union player who plays at fly-half. He has represented the Wales under-20.
Steve Winn is a Welsh rugby union player. A centre, he has represented Wales A and currently plays his club rugby for the Cornish Pirates having joined from the Welsh regional team Newport Gwent Dragons where he made 29 appearances.
Tom Prydie is a Welsh rugby union player. A fullback who can also play on the wing, Prydie is the youngest player ever to represent the Wales national team and the youngest player in the history of Europe's top rugby union club competition, the Heineken Cup.
Jonathan Evans is a Welsh professional rugby union footballer, he plays at scrum half for Scarlets in the Pro14.
Nicky Griffiths is a Welsh rugby union player. A scrum half, he is a former Wales Under-19, Under-21 and 7's international.
Chauncey O'Toole is a Canadian former rugby union player. O'Toole played any position across the back-row but his preferred position was at openside flanker. O'Toole made his debut for the Canadian national men's team against Ireland on 23 May 2009.
Dmitri Arhip is a Moldovan rugby union player who plays for the Cardiff Blues at Tighthead Prop. He is also a Moldovan international.
