"Dancing in the Dark" is a song originally recorded by Belgian singer Jessy. In 2006, she worked with British DJ Micky Modelle to produce a remix of the song. The remix was very successful and charted in many countries across Europe, peaking at top ten in three of them.

"Cruel Summer" is a song by English girl group Bananarama. It was written by Bananarama and Steve Jolley, Tony Swain, and produced by Jolley and Swain. Released in 1983, it was initially a stand-alone single but was subsequently included on their self-titled second album a year later. The song reached number eight on the UK Singles Chart in 1983 and the group performed it live on the BBC's Top of the Pops that summer, and after its inclusion in the 1984 film The Karate Kid, it reached number nine on the US Billboard Hot 100.

"Take Me to the Clouds Above" is a song by British dance group LMC. It peaked at number one on the UK Singles Chart for two weeks in February 2004. The song interpolates Whitney Houston's 1986 hit "How Will I Know" and samples U2's 1987 hit "With or Without You". The vocals in the song were performed by Rachel McFarlane.

"Mambo!" is Helena Paparizou's fifth CD single and the first from her international album The Game of Love. There were two versions of the song; a Greek version and an English version. The Greek version was released in November 2005 in Greece and was a major hit going straight to number one for ten weeks including during Christmas. In total, the song charted for 23 weeks, leaving Helena with her most successful CD single to date. The single was released as a CD single and Sony BMG also re-released Helena's debut album Protereotita for a third time with her single under the name of Protereotita: Euro Edition + Mambo!.
"A Neverending Dream" is a 1996 song by German group X-Perience, released as the second single from their debut album, Magic Fields (1996). It charted in Germany, Hungary and Switzerland and was the band's biggest hit. The song entered the German Singles Chart at number 91, went to number four in October/November 1996, and spent over 18 weeks in the charts. Over 350,000 copies of the singles were sold in Germany and the single was eventually certified Gold. On the Eurochart Hot 100, "A Neverending Dream" peaked at number 29 in December 1996. A music video was also produced to promote the single.

"Insomnia" is a song by British musical group Faithless. Released as the band's second single, it became one of their most successful. It was originally released in 1995 and reached number 27 on the UK Singles Chart, topping the UK Dance Chart in the process. When re-released in October 1996, the song achieved a new peak of number three in the United Kingdom and topped the charts of Finland, Norway, and Switzerland, as well as the American and Canadian dance charts. It also featured on Faithless's 1996 debut album, Reverence.
"Boogie 2nite" is a song by American singer Tweet from her debut studio album, Southern Hummingbird (2002). Tweet co-wrote the song with its producers, Nisan Stewart and John "Jubu" Smith. It was released on October 28, 2002, as the album's third and final single. The single's B-side, "Smoking Cigarettes", was also released as a promotional CD single. A music video for "Boogie 2nite" and "Smoking Cigarettes" was directed by Little X and filmed in Toronto over the weekend of September 28–29, 2002, but it was ultimately cancelled. "Boogie 2nite" was included on the soundtrack to the 2002 action thriller film The Transporter.

Jumping All Over the World is the thirteenth studio album by German techno group Scooter, released in Germany in 2007. Five singles have been released from it: "The Question Is What Is the Question?", "And No Matches", "Jumping All Over the World", a remix of "I'm Lonely" and a new version of "Jump That Rock!" titled "Jump That Rock " recorded with British rock group Status Quo. The album's original artwork features people performing Jumpstyle.
"Traffic" is a track single which appeared in the album Just Be and Parade of the Athletes by Dutch DJ Tiësto. The track contains samples of Sean Deason's track "Psykofuk". When the album Just Be was released, his third single "Love Comes Again" was featured with it, "Traffic" turned into a B-side after having great success in Tiësto's concerts and having a music video made which was released in its original form as well as its radio edit version. It is the first instrumental track to reach the top spot in his homeland of the Netherlands in 23 years. Many DJs did remixes for "Traffic". The track is recorded at 136 BPM.

The song is the title track of the group's debut studio album, The Rhythm of the Night (1995), and was written by Francesco Bontempi, Annerley Emma Gordon, Giorgio Spagna, Pete Glenister and Mike Gaffey. The song was to be used by French broadcaster France Télévisions as The Summerhit of 2010 and also for promoting the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and the title of the song refers to the album Music of the World Cup: Allez! Ola! Ole!, released in 1998 to coincide with the '98 World Cup, held in France.
