Danica Purg is the founding and current President of the IEDC-Bled School of Management, Slovenia, and the founding President of the Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN), which has 211 members from 53 countries and whose aim is to enhance management development in Central and Eastern Europe. She is also chairperson and director of the European Leadership Centre (ELC), established with the aim of assessing and promoting European leadership through the organization of forums, workshops and research.
Purg has been selected the 2010 Dean of the Year Award by the Academy of International Business (AIB) for her outstanding achievements in international business education.
Purg is professor of leadership and effective management at the IEDC-Bled School of Management. Her special field of interest is looking for inspirations for managers from art and other professions.
She has authored and co-authored several books and numerous articles on technological and organizational change, comparative HRM practices, team building, economic reforms and management development in Central and Eastern Europe (published in Slovenia, former Yugoslavia, the Netherlands, Germany, Japan, Russia, Great Britain and USA). In 2003 Purg edited and co-authored the book Leaders and Teams – The Winning Partnership.
Purg is Fellow of the International Academy of Management, Doctor Honoris Causa at Moscow State University of Management and Estonian Business School, and honorary professor at Moscow International Higher Business School (MIRBIS). President of the Republic of Slovenia awarded her with the “Honorary Order of Freedom” for her contribution to management development in Slovenia and CEE.
Purg is also member of several advisory boards, among them of the Advisory Board of Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society, Advisory Board of BAWB (Business as an Agent of World Benefit Global Forum) and Advisory Board of the newly established Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. Purg is also Member of the exclusive European Cultural Parliament (ECP) - a forum for outstanding artists, thinkers and other cultural personalities from all Europe. Recently she was invited to become a member of the UN Global Compact Taskforce to develop the principles for Responsible Business Education and in 2007 she became President of UN Global Compact Slovenia.
After graduating from the Faculty of Political Science in Ljubljana, she completed her PhD at the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Political Science, and extensively studied at Harvard Business School, IMD Lausanne, INSEAD Fontainebleau, Technological University Delft, the University of London, Sorbonne and at Kalamazoo College, Michigan.
Graça Machel is a Mozambican politician and humanitarian. She is the widow of both former presidents of Mozambique and South Africa; Mozambican president Samora Machel and South African president Nelson Mandela. Machel is an international advocate for women's and children's rights and was made an honorary British Dame by Queen Elizabeth II in 1997 for her humanitarian work. She is the only woman in modern history to have served as First Lady of two countries, South Africa and Mozambique.
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is a Nigerian-American economist and international development expert. She sits on the boards of Standard Chartered Bank, Twitter, Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), and the African Risk Capacity (ARC). On 15 February 2021, she was appointed as the Director-General of the World Trade Organization. Her term will begin on 1 March 2021, making her the first woman and the first African to hold the office.
Jaime Augusto Miranda Zóbel de Ayala II, also known as Jaime Augusto Zóbel, is a Filipino businessman from the prominent Zóbel de Ayala family. He currently serves as the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Ayala Corporation. He succeeded his father, Jaime Zóbel de Ayala, as the company's president and CEO in 1994 and as chairman and CEO in 2006.
Güler Sabancı is a Turkish businesswoman, a third-generation female member of the Sabancı family, and the chairperson of the family-controlled Sabancı Holding, the second-largest industrial and financial conglomerate in Turkey. As of 2014, she is listed as the 60th most powerful woman in the world by Forbes, which first recognized her in 1999.
Vladimir Kvint is an economist and strategist, and President of the International Academy of Emerging Markets. In parallel, since 2007, he has been the Chair of the Department of Economic and Financial Strategy at the Moscow School of Economics of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. Kvint also is a Head of the Center for Strategic Studies at Institute of Complex Systems Mathematical Research of this University. In 2019-2022 Dr. Kvint is a Visiting Professor at Department of Economics of Shanghai University. He is a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2010 Kvint was elected as a Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science. He is a U.S. Fulbright Scholar and has been a professor at Fordham, New York University, and American University and Adjunct Professor of La Salle University as well as Babson College. In 2018 Kvint was awarded by Lomonosov Moscow State University with the Annual Lomonosov Prize in Science of Highest Degree for his "Studies of Theory of Strategy and Methodology of Strategizing". In addition to his professorship, he is currently and has been a consultant to governments of several countries. He was a consultant at architectural and planning company RMJM, and was Director for Emerging Markets at Arthur Andersen in NYC. Kvint's work appeared in The New York Times and Harvard Business Review, among others. He has been a contributor to Forbes magazine in which he published his most profound forecast on February 5, 1990, predicting the exact year - 1991 - of the fall of the Soviet Union. In addition, Kvint is a member of the Editorial Boards of several professional publications.
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh is the chairman and founder of the international Jordan-based organisation, the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org). Dubbed as the godfather of Arab accounting, Abu-Ghazaleh has also been credited for promoting the significance of Intellectual Property in the Arab World.
Manfred F.R. Kets de Vries is a Dutch management scholar and psychoanalyst, Professor of leadership development and organizational change at INSEAD, and consultant. His work focuses on leadership and the dynamics of individual and organizational change. Specifically, Kets de Vries explores the interface between management theory, psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, executive coaching and evolutionary psychology.
The Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN) was established in 1993 with the aim of fostering management development and management education development in CEE region. By now, its membership has grown far beyond the CEE region, including over 200 members from more than 51 countries, including from Western Europe, both Americas, Africa and Asia.
IEDC-Bled School of Management, located in Bled, Slovenia, is a Business School. It was founded in 1986 upon an initiative of Slovenian business community as the International Executive Development Center.

Paulus Gerardus Josephus Maria Polman is a Dutch businessman. He is a former Procter & Gamble president for Western Europe. In 2006 Polman joined Nestlé as chief financial officer and became vice president for the Americas in February 2008. From 2009 to 2019, he was the chief executive officer (CEO) of the British-Dutch consumer goods company Unilever. In 2019, he created a new organization called Imagine, along with co-founders Valerie Keller and Jeff Seabright, to help businesses "eradicate poverty and inequality and stem runaway climate change."

The CBS International Business School (CBS) is a state-recognised, private business school which emerged in 2020 from the individual brands Cologne Business School (CBS) and European Management School (EMS). At its locations in Cologne, Mainz and Potsdam, it offers approximately 1,900 students its predominantly English-language business management study courses with the academic degrees Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts, Master of Science and MBA. Nadya Zhexembayeva is an author, educator and business owner. She has written three and contributed to five books about business, strategy, and sustainability. In 2009, Zhexembayeva co-authored the concept of "embedded sustainability", in 2015 introduced the term "Chief Reinvention Officer," and in 2015 introduced the concept of "Titanic Syndrome", which she developed into a book in 2018. She is also a member of the Academic Committee of CEDEP.
