The Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN) [1] was established in 1993 with the aim of fostering management development and management education development in CEE region. [2] By now, its membership has grown far beyond the CEE region, including over 200 members (business schools, universities, management development centers, national, regional and international associations, corporations and individuals) from more than 51 countries, including from Western Europe, both Americas, Africa and Asia. [3]

Activities

The main activities of the association include educational programs for faculty and staff of management development institutions (such as IMTA - International Management Teachers Academy and Program Management Seminar, [4] [5] International Quality Accreditation (IQA), [6] international conferences, promoting case writing and use of case method in management education in CEE, fostering international cooperation and joint projects between its member institutions, etc.

Collaboration

CEEMAN has collaboration with the EMBA council (Executive MBA Council), [7] European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), [8] Association of MBAs (AMBA), Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), and a number of other international and regional management development associations. [9]

CEEMAN is a steering committee member of PRME - Principles for Responsible Management Education initiative [10] and is leading its Working Group on Poverty as a Challenge to Management Education. [11]

In 2009, CEEMAN, in cooperation with TMK Lab company from Slovenia and IEDC-Bled School of Management, established Challenge Future [12] [13] - a global youth think tank and competition on innovation and sustainability. The project offers various possibilities for engagement for youth in competitions and specialized contests on issues related to sustainability, discussion groups, action teams, or local university-based chapters, and by 2011 has attracted close to 18,000 members from 200 countries.

Since 1998, the association has been organizing an international Case Writing Competition. As of 2007, this has been in partnership with Emerald, an independent publisher of global research. [14] [15]

Accreditation

Established in 1998, the International Quality Accreditation (IQA), [16] focuses on addressing the needs of management schools. CEEMAN modified its IQA accreditation scheme in 2007 with new assessment procedures to encourage schools to focus on the delivery and development of quality educational products within their specific environment and context. [17]

The EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) is a school accreditation system. It specializes in higher education institutions of management and business administration, run by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). EQUIS has accredited 189 institutions in 45 countries around the world.

The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) is an international not-for-profit association, based in Brussels, Belgium. Europe's largest network association in the field of management development, it has over 890 member organizations from academia, business, public service and consultancy in 88 countries. EFMD provides a forum for networking in management development.

International University of Monaco

Founded in 1986, the International University of Monaco (IUM) is located in the Principality of Monaco. It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in business specialized in finance, marketing, sport business management and international management, taught in English. Bachelor program at this university consists of 3 academic years. Masters program consists of 1 academic year. Prior to 2002, it was known as the University of Southern Europe.

The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), formerly the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs, is a U.S. organization offering accreditation services to business programs focused on teaching and learning.

University of New York in Prague

The University of New York in Prague (UNYP) is a private higher education institution in Prague, Czech Republic. It was established in 1998 in cooperation with the State University of New York at New Paltz and Empire State College, both part of the State University of New York (SUNY). UNYP was recognized by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports in 2001 on the basis of accreditation of its study programs in Business Administration and International European Relations. UNYP is a member of the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education.

Caucasus University

Caucasus University is a private university in Tbilisi, Georgia. The university was established in 2004 on the foundation of Caucasus School of Business, which was established in 1998 in partnership with Georgia State University, Atlanta, USA, during the country's transitional period. This was when Georgia was making the first attempts to move from a planned to free market economy. Caucasus University has evolved and is now one of the most prominent higher education institutions in Georgia and the South Caucasus region.

IEDC-Bled School of Management

IEDC-Bled School of Management, located in Bled, Slovenia, is a Business School. It was founded in 1986 upon an initiative of Slovenian business community as the International Executive Development Center.

Business School Lausanne

Business School Lausanne (BSL) is a private business school located in Lausanne, Switzerland, and is part of the Lemania Group of Swiss Private Schools.

EU Business School

EU Business School is a private business school with campuses in Geneva and Montreux (Switzerland), Barcelona (Spain) and Munich (Germany).

CBS International Business School

The CBS International Business School (CBS) is a state-recognised, private business school which emerged in 2020 from the individual brands Cologne Business School (CBS) and European Management School (EMS). At its locations in Cologne, Mainz and Potsdam, it offers approximately 1,900 students its predominantly English-language business management study courses with the academic degrees Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts, Master of Science and MBA. The CBS Cologne Business School GmbH is the responsible body of the university.

The Executive MBA Council is an educational accreditation council formed in 1981 to accredit schools of business offering EMBA degrees worldwide. The council was formed with the assistance of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Sheffield University Management School is an AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS accredited business school at the University of Sheffield in Sheffield, England. It is one of 60 business schools in the world to have achieved triple accreditation.

Montreux Business University

Montreux Business University (MBU) is a private school located in Montreux, Vaud, at the foot of the Alps and on the shores of Lake Geneva, in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. MBU provides a range of on-site programs: Bachelor's, Master's, MBA, Executive MBA, DBA, it also conducts courses through online studies. All courses are conducted in English by international and multicultural faculty.
