Daniel Estrada (born 27 February 1990) is a Chilean long distance runner who specialises in the marathon. He competed in the men's marathon event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. [1]
The marathon is a long-distance foot race with a distance of 42km 195m, usually run as a road race, but the distance can be covered on trail routes. The marathon can be completed by running or with a run/walk strategy. There are also wheelchair divisions. More than 800 marathons are held worldwide each year, with the vast majority of competitors being recreational athletes, as larger marathons can have tens of thousands of participants.
Joseph Ejercito Estrada, also known by the nickname Erap, is a Filipino politician and former actor, who served as the 13th President of the Philippines from 1998 until his removal in 2001, the 9th Vice President of the Philippines from 1992 to 1998, and the 22nd Mayor of Manila, the country's capital from 2013 to 2019, also served as the 14th Mayor of San Juan from 1969 to 1986. In 2001, he became the first chief executive in Asia to be formally impeached. At the age of 87, he is currently the oldest living former Philippine president.

Juan Diego Estrada Constantino is a Mexican-American long-distance runner. He competed in the 10,000 metres at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London for Mexico. After some confusion about his eligibility after becoming a U.S. citizen, he was excluded from the U.S. Olympic trials even though it was later known that Estrada was misinformed on his eligibility possibilities. Estrada resides in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Florence Kiplagat of Kenya defended her women's title with a winning time of 2:21:32 hours, while her countryman Abel Kirui took the men's race in 2:11:23 hours. The top finishing Americans were Serena Burla in seventh in the women's division and Diego Estrada in eighth in the men's.

He is a two-time winner of the UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships, 17 times winner at the National Cross-country cycling championship, and four times Pan American champion. Partnered with German rider Manuel Fumic at the 2016 and 2017 Absa Cape Epic, he won the prologue time trial and stage 1 in 2017, and the stage 7 finale in 2016.

The women's marathon was one of the road events at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics in London. It took place on 6 August 2017 on the streets of London, and consisted of four laps of a roughly 10-kilometre (6.2 mi) course which passed several of London's landmarks. For the first time in World Championships history, the men's and women's marathons took place on the same day. The race was won by Rose Chelimo of Bahrain in 2:27:11, seven seconds ahead of Kenya's Edna Kiplagat in second. Amy Cragg of the United States finished in third, separated from Kiplagat by less than a second.
Daniel Romanchuk is an American Paralympic athlete who competes primarily in wheelchair racing events. He won the Chicago Marathon on October 7, 2018. Less than a month later, he made history as the first American to win the men's wheelchair race at the New York City Marathon, becoming the youngest winner in the event's history. He subsequently won the New York City Marathon race again in 2019 and 2024.
