Daniel Furlong (born 3 January 1998) is an Irish singer. He is known for winning the third series of The All Ireland Talent Show . He was also the first wildcard to win the show, the first to win for The East and subsequently, the last winner of the show before its cancellation. He has been a member of the Irish band Celtic Thunder.
Furlong took part in auditions for the RTÉ One television series The All Ireland Talent Show . He was chosen by mentor Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh as one of her eight acts to represent the East in the live finals which took place during February and March 2011.
Furlong fought for a place in the semi-finals in the 7th heat on 13 February 2011. He scored a score of 35. He beat Halo from the South and Must Try D'n'D from Dublin, before losing out to Politically Correct. He was then picked as a wildcard by the judges.
In the wildcard heat, Furlong beat Daragh Merritt, Wallis, Shane Doonan, Claire Mulholland, Karate Pencil Case and Virginia Gospel Choir. Daniel and Shauna Buckingham were top 2 and got a place in the semi-finals.
In the second semi-final, he beat 2 Day Nation and Politically Correct. He came second behind Mad for Road. He also beat Sean Nós ar an tSionann who came third. The top three acts in the semi-finals made the final. [1]
In the final, Daniel beat Sean Nós ar an tSionann, Brian Sheerin and Cosa Beoga, getting a place in the top 3 and performing again. He then beat Mad for Road who had 69,008 votes and Don Stiffe who had 79,984 votes.
His first album, Voice of an Angel , was released on 29 November 2011 by MRP.
Daniel Furlong joined the group after Damian McGinty left. Furlong, unlike McGinty when he had joined the group, is a soprano. He holds the title of being the youngest current Celtic Thunder member, even though he was a guest member of the singing group. [2]

The Dutch broadcaster Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (NOS) organised the national final Nationaal Songfestival 2004 in collaboration with broadcaster Televisie Radio Omroep Stichting (TROS) in order to select the Dutch entry for the 2004 contest in Istanbul, Turkey. 24 entries competed in the national final which consisted of six shows: four semi-finals, a wildcard round and a final. Ten entries qualified from to compete in the final on 22 February 2004 where "Without You" performed by Re-union was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from a five-member jury panel and a public vote.
Britain's Got Talent is a televised British talent show competition, and part of the global Got Talent franchise created by Simon Cowell. Presented by Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, it is produced by both Thames and Syco Entertainment, distributed by Fremantle, and broadcast on ITV every year in late Spring to early Summer. The show was originally intended for production in 2005, but filming was suspended in the wake of a dispute between ITV and the programme's originally planned host. The fourth season of American talent show competition series America's Got Talent was broadcast on NBC from June 23 to September 16, 2009. Following the previous season, Jerry Springer left the show due to other commitments, and was replaced as host by Nick Cannon. A number of changes were also made to the program before filming commenced, which included replacing the "boot camp" stage with a round similar in format to that used by Britain's Got Talent, and changing the buzzer format to match that being used by the Got Talent franchise. In addition, the episodes for results in each live round of the competition were also modified. They were broadcast over a one-hour period, and would feature performances by guest stars.
Melodifestivalen 2010 was a Swedish song contest held between February and March 2010. It was the selection for the 50th song to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest, and was the 49th edition of Melodifestivalen. Five heats were held in the Swedish cities of Örnsköldsvik, Sandviken, Gothenburg and Malmö, with Örebro hosting the final Andra Chansen round.

Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) is a Philippine reality talent competition show on ABS-CBN that began on February 20, 2010, replacing The Singing Bee & Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up and replaced by Twist and Shout on July 3, 2010. It is based on the Got Talent franchise, a British TV format conceived and owned by Simon Cowell's SYCO company. "Pilipinas" is the Filipino word for Philippines. Anyone can join and showcase their talents in the audition. At the sound of four buzzers from the judges, the auditionees are asked to stop their act. With at least three approval votes from the judges, they are automatically in the list for Judges Cuts, where judges have to pick only 36 acts that will move to the semi-finals. Acts will compete against each other in order to gain the audience support to win the prize money and the title of Pilipinas Got Talent.
Damian Joseph McGinty Jr. is an Irish singer and actor. McGinty has been performing for over a decade, and a member of the group Celtic Thunder for thirteen years starting when he was fourteen. On 21 August 2011, McGinty won the Oxygen reality show The Glee Project, earning him a seven-episode guest-starring role on the hit Fox television show Glee which was later extended to 18 episodes.

The Brisbane Heat are an Australian professional franchise men's cricket team, competing in Australia's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition, the Big Bash League (BBL). The Heat are the successors of the Queensland Bulls who played in the now-defunct KFC Twenty20 Big Bash. The Heat wear a teal uniform and are based in Brisbane in the Australian state Queensland. Their home ground is the Brisbane Cricket Ground, also known as The Gabba. The inaugural coach was Darren Lehmann who is now an assistant to current head coach Wade Seccombe. The Heat's inaugural captain was Australian ODI batter Peter Forrest. Usman Khawaja, Chris Lynn, Brendon McCullum and Daniel Vettori have also captained the team.
The sixth series of British talent competition programme Britain's Got Talent was broadcast on ITV, from 24 March to 12 May 2012. The sixth series saw Simon Cowell resume a full commitment to the programme following the previous series, yet neither David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre returned to take part in the new series, leading to them being replaced by Alesha Dixon and David Walliams. Because of her pregnancy during filming of the auditions, Amanda Holden was required to miss a number of sessions, leading to producers asking Carmen Electra to step in as a guest judge in her place.
The tenth series of British talent competition programme Britain's Got Talent was broadcast on ITV, from 9 April to 28 May 2016. To celebrate ten series of the show, the final featured a special performance entitled "Best of Britain’s Got Talent", which featured several participants who had appeared on the show during the previous nine series, including Ashleigh and Pudsey, Attraction, Diversity, Jon Clegg, Stavros Flatley, Collabro and Spelbound. It was the last series to have its live episodes broadcast at The Fountain Studios before the site's closure that year.
The eleventh series of British talent competition programme Britain's Got Talent was broadcast on ITV, from 15 April to 3 June 2017; because the One Love Manchester concert was to take place on 4 June, the live final was brought forward a day to avoid clashing with it. Following the closure of Fountain Studios the previous year, the live episodes were broadcast from Elstree Studios. The change in location allowed for a revamp of the studio used by both the main programme and its sister show, Britain's Got More Talent.
