Daniel Haaksman (born 1968) [1] is a Berlin-based German DJ, producer, journalist and label boss. He showed the music of the favelas of Rio de Janeiro to an international audience for the first time when he released the compilation album Rio Baile Funk Favela Booty Beats in 2004. [2] His song "Kid Conga" with MC Miltinho is included in the 2008 video game Grand Theft Auto IV , in the expansion Episodes from Liberty City .

In 2005 Haaksman founded the Man Recordings label. He has released several EPs, studio albums as well as remixes. As a DJ he has travelled around the world and performed at various night clubs, festivals and events. [2]

From 2013 until 2016 Haaksman hosted a weekly radio show, Luso FM on the German radio station WDR Funkhaus Europe. He also writes as a music journalist to various German-language newspapers. [2]

Since 1994 Stef Lopazz, also known as LOPAZZ, has been part of the Heidelberg based HD800 team; he also runs the multimedia label 800achtspur, and is renowned as a film composer and Mix-Mastering-Engineer, having written, produced and engineered many internationally acclaimed records and films. In 2001, he had success with Redagain P when they remixed the Miami Vice & Magnum, P.I. themes; then, in 2003, Lopazz's self-titled EP was released by Output Recordings, followed by the singles 'Blood' and his first bona fide club hit ‘I Need Ya’.
