Daniel Ledwell is a Canadian record producer and multi-instrumentalist. He lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and is married to singer-songwriter Jenn Grant. [1]

Music career

In 2008 Ledwell produced his debut solo album, Two Over Seven in his home studio. [2] It was released on Emm Gryner's record label Dead Daisy Records. [3] Since then, Ledwell has also produced albums for such musicians as Jenn Grant, Don Brownrigg, Heather Green, Fortunate Ones, Quiet Parade, Gabrielle Papillon, Lennie Gallant and Justin Rutledge. He was named producer of the year at the East Coast Music Awards in 2013 [4] and again in 2014. [5]

Art & Design

Ledwell, who is originally from Charlottetown, [6] received a fine arts degree from Mount Allison University, where he met his former bandmates in In-Flight Safety. [7]

In addition to his musical work, he is also a painter and designer, [2] and has designed album covers for many musicians. [8] He also illustrated I Am an Islander, a book by his brother, comedian Patrick Ledwell. [9]

They are currently based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The group consists of vocalist and guitarist John Mullane, drummer Glen Nicholson and is rounded out by friends who appear in the live show. In-Flight Safety released their second full-length album We Are an Empire, My Dear 27 January 2009 in Canada on their own label Night Danger. The band released their third full-length album, Conversationalist on 9 September 2014.

The Coast Is Clear is the debut album by Canadian indie rock band In-Flight Safety, released on January 24, 2006 on Dead Daisy Records and distributed by Outside Music. The album was recognized by the music industry, with the group winning three awards at the 2006 Nova Scotia Music Awards, including Album of the Year. In 2007, they won three East Coast Music Awards, including Group Recording of the Year for this album. The music video for "Coast Is Clear" was nominated for Video of the Year at the 2007 Juno Awards. Lead vocalist and guitarist John Mullane wrote the lyrics for each song.

Dylan Guthro is a Canadian singer/songwriter based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The son of musician Bruce Guthro, Dylan released his debut album, All That's True, in 2012. In 2015, Guthro teamed up with fellow Halifax singer-songwriters Carleton Stone and Breagh Mackinnon to form the band Port Cities.

Patrick Ledwell is a Canadian stand-up comedian, best known as a frequent guest on the CBC Radio comedy series The Debaters. The brother of musician and artist Daniel Ledwell, he is from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Don Brownrigg is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Codroy Valley, Newfoundland and Labrador. and has spent much of his career based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He has released 3 full length albums, several singles, many collaborations, and has worked in theatre and puppetry. The Coast, Halifax's alt-weekly, said Brownrigg is "instrumental to the Haligonian arts community".
