Daniela Ambrosoli (born 10 November 1941 in Ascona) is a Swiss entrepreneur, founder and president of the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation , and film director.

Daniela Ambrosoli https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniela_Ambrosoli is the daughter of the German dancer Sonja Bragowa https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonja_Bragowa and the Lombardy Ticino businessman Pierino Ambrosoli. 1] Daniela Ambrosoli's father died when she was still young. She took over some of the companies he founded, including Camping Delta in Locarno, Switzerland. [2] In 1999 she founded Travel & Culture Management AG in Zurich[3].

Daniela Ambrosoli is mainly known for the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation, which she founded in Zurich in 1990. 4] This foundation promotes and supports the training of talented young dancers and musicians worldwide. To date, the foundation has supported hundreds of young artists as well as several institutions and companies [5]. Now Daniela Ambrosoli becomes a board member of several international associations that are involved in the fields of dance and music (e.g. Prix de Lausanne [6]) as well as in the humanitarian and social field (e.g. Soroptimist International, Union Switzerland).

Through a collaboration with the Italian director Renato Pugina, Daniela Ambrosoli dealt with the film world in 2004. This resulted in many years of cooperation for the creation of documentaries for the RSI (Swiss television in Italian).

In 2009, Ambrosoli made her first documentary: "HN Hermann Nitsch", about Hermann Nitsch, the Austrian artist and founding father of Viennese actionism.[7] In 2011, the film was awarded the audience award for best documentary at the Beverly Hills Film Festival in Los Angeles. In 2017, "The Making of a Dream - Life as a ballet dancer"[8], was created, a film essay about dance, dancers and their lives, involving interviews with internationally renowned dancers, such as the Swiss actress Sabine Timoteo, a former dancer and scholarship holder of the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation. From May 2018, "The Making of a Dream" ran for six weeks in the cinema Stüssihof[9] in Zurich and was distributed worldwide by Taskovskifilms London.[ 10] In November 2018, the documentary "The Making of a Dream" was broadcast on the Ticino television station RSI in the Paganini show.[11] In 2021, Daniela Ambrosoli produced the documentary "papa & dada". The film investigates the question: How does starting a family as a couple of two men actually "work" and what does everyday family life look like? This documentary was also distributed by the film distributor Taskovskifilms London.[12] "papa & dada"[13] was shown in 2023 in the cinema "Otello" in Ascona as well as in the cinema "Rialto" [14] In 2021, the Antium publisher published Daniela Ambrosoli's biography "Daughter from a better house"[15], written by Markus Maeder[16].

Switzerland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "You and Me" written by Georg Schlunegger, Roman Camenzind and Fred Herrmann. The song was performed by the band Takasa. The Swiss entry for the 2013 contest in Malmö, Sweden was selected through the national final Die grosse Entscheidungs Show 2013, organised by the Swiss German speaking broadcaster Schweizer Fernsehen (SF) in collaboration with the other broadcasters part of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation. Sara Ishaq is a Yemeni-Scottish film director. Ishaq directed and produced the critically acclaimed film Karama Has No Walls (2012).
