Boterenbrood studied medicine at the University of Groningen and lives with her friend in Sittard where the National Training Centre has been established.[1] She teaches at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Maastricht and represents the Dutch clubs GSTV Tritanium and AV Unitas.[2]
In 2009 Boterenbrood represented the club Lemgo in the German Bundesliga circuit.[3]
In 2009 Boterenbrood also took part in the prestigious French Club Championship Series Lyonnaise des Eaux and, together with international elite stars like Emma Moffatt and Olga Dmitrieva she represented the French club Charleville Tri Ardennes. In 2010, the club still lists her name among its elite triathletes,[4] but Boterenbrood did not take part in any of the Lyonnaise triathlons. In La Baule at the Grand Final of the Lyonnaise circuit of the year 2009 Boterenbrood placed 30th and was the third best triathlete of her club.[5]
In 2011, after a year in which Boterenbrood was almost completely absent from triathlon events, she is on leave from Maastricht University to fully dedicate herself to triathlon again and qualify for the 2012 London Olympics.
ITU Competitions
From 2004 to 2010 Boterenbrood took part in 17 ITU triathlons and achieved three top ten positions. Anja Dittmer is a professional German triathlete. Dittmer was the only female member of the A-Team (ASICS Olympia Team) of the National Squad, competed at the Olympics four times and was 1999 European Champion and 2006 World Champion.
Fred (Frédéric) Belaubre, is a French professional triathlete. He was the European Champion of the years 2005, 2006, and 2008, the French Champion of the years 2007 and 2010. Belaubre took part in two Olympic Games, placing 5th in Athens (2004) and 10th in Beijing (2008).
Vendula Frintová is a Czech triathlete. She is multiple Czech Champion in various categories such as National Champion of the years 2006 and 2007 and winner of the National Championship Series of the year 2009, Duathlon World Champion of the year 2009, and gold medalist of the World Cup in Mooloolaba 2010.
Emmie Charayron, also known as Emma Charayron, is a French professional triathlete, European Champion of the year 2011, ten time French Champion in various age categories, and both European and World Junior Champion in 2009, and U23 World Championship bronze medalist in 2010.
Charlotte Morel, is a French professional triathlete, twelve times National Champion in various duathlon and triathlon categories, e.g. National U23 Triathlon Champion of the years 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. Since 2006, Morel is a permanent member of the French National Team. In the French Club Championship Series, Morel represented the club Beauvais, which e.g. in 2006, 2009 and in 2010 won both the French Club Championship Series Lyonnaise des Eaux and the National Club Championships in Gruissan. From 2013 to 2016, however, Morel will represent Issy les Moulineaux because of Beauvais' complete retreat from the elite sports.
Natalia Sergeyevna Shliakhtenko is a Russian professional triathlete, Master of Sport, and reserve member of the National Team.
Inna Tsyganok is a professional Ukrainian Russian triathlete, member of the Ukrainian National Team and National Champion of the year 2009. In 2011, Tsyganok took part in ITU competitions "representing ITU", i.e. without a citizenship, which seems to be a violation of the ITU regulations but as of August 2011 she is officially representing Russia.
Delphine Py-Bilot is a French professional triathlete.
Fabienne Aline St Louis is a Mauritian professional triathlete, the African U23 Vice Champion, Elite Vice Champion (2010), and U23 African Champion (2011).

Olga Alekseyevna Dmitrieva, born 26 June 1981 in Leningrad, is a Russian professional triathlete and member of the Russian National Team.
Lyubov Andreyevna Ivanovskaya Polyanskaya, born 20 June 1989, is a Russian professional triathlete from Yaroslavl and a permanent member of the Russian National Elite Team. Lyubov Ivanovskaya's maiden name still appears in official ITU rankings, in official FTR documents, however, she is now referred to with her new surname Polyanskaya only.

The Grand Prix de Triathlon defines itself as the most outstanding triathlon event in France and attracts numerous international elite triathletes hired by French clubs. The Grand Prix should not be confused with the Coupe de France des Clubs, which is not a circuit but a one-day national championship and in which the clubs admitted to the Grand Prix are obliged to take part.
Dmitry Andreyevich Polyanski, is a Russian professional triathlete, 2009 U23 European Champion and permanent member of the National Elite Team. Polyanski is, together with Alexander Bryukhankov and Ivan Vasiliev, qualified for the London Olympics 2012.
Jodie Lee Stimpson is a British professional triathlete who also currently competes in the Iron Man distance of the sport. In 2013, she finished runner-up in the ITU World Triathlon Series. She has won 3 global titles during her career.
Céline Schärer is a professional Swiss triathlete, National U23 Champion of the year 2010 and member of the National Team.
Katrien Verstuyft, is a Belgian professional triathlete, National Champion of the year 2009, and member of the National Team.
Mariya Sergeyevna Shorets is a Russian professional triathlete and the 2016 World Aquathlon Champion. Russian U23 Champion of the year 2011, bronze medalist in the Elite ranking, and a member of the National Team.
Alexandra Razarenova is a Russian professional triathlete, member of the Russian National Elite Team, Russian Elite Champion of the year 2011, and European U23 Champion of the year 2011. She competed in the women's event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2016 Summer Olympics and 2020 Summer Olympics.
