Daniel James Ellis (born 3 November 1985) is an English football player and coach who is player-assistant manager at Liversedge.

Career

Ellis, a defender, began his career with Bradford City, where he spent 8 years. [2] He then spent 10 years with Guiseley, making 473 appearances for the club. [2] [3] He later played with Harrogate Town, [4] where he served as club captain, [5] and Farsley Celtic, [6] [7] [8] where he also served as club captain. [9] He signed for Darlington in September 2021, [10] [11] [12] being released at the end of the season. [13] [14]

After being released by Darlington, Ellis became manager of Guiseley, [15] [16] [17] where local media described his impact as a "revolution", with he club being "revitalsised", [18] [19] after he made 7 new signings. [20] Ellis said he was "buzzing", [21] but left the club in November 2022 after a run of poor form. [22] [23] [24] [25] [26]

In January 2023 he returned to playing, signing for Liversedge. [27] [28] [29] In June 2023 he became an assistant manager at Farsley. [30] In November 2024 he returned to Liversedge as player-assistant manager. [31]
