Danny Lenie (born 17 October 1967) is a Belgian former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. [1]

The Seal Rehabilitation and Research Centre is located in the village of Pieterburen in Groningen, the Netherlands. Until 2016, it was called a 'seal crèche', because it had mainly cared for young orphaned pinnipeds before then. In recent years, sick and weakened seals of all ages are taken in for treatment and then released. The centre is committed to the management and conservation of the seal habitat, trains people to work with these marine mammals, conducts research, and provides education.

Later she was forced to leave the center as she strongly resisted against new, scientifically-based policies about seal care and the current employees of the center as well as the government did not longer want to cooperate with her.

Lenie Passage is a northwest–southeast passage 1 nautical mile (2 km) wide between the Gossler Islands and the Joubin Islands in the Palmer Archipelago, Antarctica. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Pieter J. Lenie, Master of the RV Hero in 1972–73 and 1973–74. Lenie is believed to be first to navigate and carry out sounding of this passage, in the Hero in January and February 1973.

Helena Elisabeth "Lenie" de Nijs was a Dutch swimmer. In July-August 1955 she broke three freestyle world records over 1500 m, 880 yd and 1760 yd distances. Helena Antonette "Lenie" Gerrietsen was a Dutch gymnast who competed at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London and the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. In 1948, Gerrietsen placed fifth in the team all-around competition. In 1952, she competed in all artistic gymnastics events with her best result being 6th place in the team portable apparatus. Gerrietsen died on 22 June 2024, at the age of 94.

Guri i Nikës-Lenie-Valamarë Protected Landscape is a protected area in southeastern Albania, spanning an area of 22 km2 (8.5 sq mi). It was established in 1996 to protect several ecosystems and biodiversity of national importance. The resource reserve of Guri i Nikës falls inside the Pindus Mountains mixed forests terrestrial ecoregion of the Palearctic Mediterranean forests, woodlands, and scrub biome. A number of different species such as the brown bear and gray wolf, that are fast becoming rare in Southern Europe, reside in the region.

Miss Grand South Africa is an annual female beauty pageant in South Africa founded in 2015 by Commonwealth Pageant South Africa, led by Anel de Swardt, aiming to select the country representative to compete in its parent contest Miss Grand International. The license was transferred to Zee World in 2016, and later to Maggy-Dee Productions, led by Miss Grand South Africa 2015 "Lenie Pieterse" who currently owns and runs the contest since 2017.
