Danny Reuther (born 22 June 1988 in Eisenberg) is a German footballer who plays for BSG Chemie Kahla. [2]

Career

Reuther, who began his career in his hometown by SV Eintracht Eisenberg, joined the youth from FC Carl Zeiss Jena in 2003. [3] In the season 2008/2009, he was promoted to the first team, where he had his debut on 23 August 2008 against Kickers Emden. In January 2009, he was cut from the first squad and moved to the reserve team. [4] He then signed with ZFC Meuselwitz on 9 July 2009. After only a half year with ZFC Meuselwitz, he returned to Jena and signed for SV Schott Jena. [5] After the relegation of SV Schott Jena in the Thüringer Verbandsliga, he joined SV Eintracht Eisenberg on 28 June 2010. [6]

The 1992–93 DFB-Pokal was the 50th season of the annual German football cup competition. 83 teams competed in the tournament of seven rounds which began on 18 August 1992 and ended on 12 June 1993. In the final Bayer Leverkusen defeated the second team of Hertha Berlin 1–0. It was the first time a third-tier team made it to the DFB-Pokal final, and the only time a reserve team has.

The 2008–09 3. Liga was the inaugural season for the newly formed tier III of the German football league system. The inaugural game was played on 25 July 2008 between FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt and Dynamo Dresden, ending with a 1–0 win for Dresden. The last games were played on 23 May 2009. 1. FC Union Berlin were the inaugural champions, securing first place on 10 May 2009. Runners-up Fortuna Düsseldorf were also promoted. Third-placed team SC Paderborn 07 played a relegation/promotion play-off against the 16th-placed team from 2. Bundesliga, VfL Osnabrück, winning both games and earning promotion. The competition began with the first round on 7 August 2008, and ended with Werder Bremen defeating Bayer Leverkusen, who for their part eliminated defending champions Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals, in the final at the Olympiastadion, Berlin on 30 May 2009. The winners of the 2008–09 DFB-Pokal would qualify to the fourth qualifying round of the 2009–10 UEFA Europa League.
