Darnell Edwards

Darnell Edwards (born November 11, 1979) is a former Canadian football free safety who played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. [1]

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Edwards was drafted out of college by Saskatchewan (29th overall) in 2002. [2] Throughout most of his career, he shared the starting job with Jason Mallett and Scott Gordon, both Canadians.[ citation needed ] Mallett was released after 2003,[ citation needed ] and Gordon was traded before the start of the 2006 CFL season. [3] He attended college at the University of Manitoba. [4]

Jason Clermont

Jason Clermont is a former professional Canadian football slotback who retired after ten seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the BC Lions and Saskatchewan Roughriders. Clermont started his professional career with the BC Lions after being selected in the 2002 CFL Draft. He played amateur football in his hometown of Regina, starting with the Regina Rams junior football club, and continuing with the team after they became affiliated with the University of Regina. While playing university football, Clermont was named an All-Star and All-Canadian, as well as the Most Valuable Player in the Canada West Conference and represented Western Canada as one of only 2 Canadian players in the East West Shrine Bowl in San Francisco. As a professional, Clermont's honours have included being named the CFL's Most Outstanding Rookie in 2002, Most Outstanding Canadian in 2004 and 2007, as well as the Most Valuable Canadian at the 2004 Grey Cup. Clermont captured a Grey Cup championship with the Lions in 2006. He joined his hometown Roughriders at the start of the 2009 season after being released by the Lions and is now a member of the Regina Sports Hall of Fame as well as the University of Regina Hall of Fame and BC Lions Wall of Fame.

Limas Lee Sweed Jr. is a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He was part of their Super Bowl XLIII championship team, beating the Arizona Cardinals. He played college football at Texas. He also played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League.

Chris Getzlaf Retired professional Canadian football receiver

Chris Getzlaf is a Canadian former professional football slotback who played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 2007 to 2017. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2007 CFL Draft, 33rd overall, by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and was later traded that season to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He has also been a member of the Edmonton Eskimos. Prior to turning pro, Getzlaf played with the junior team Prairie Thunder and the collegiate team Regina Rams in his hometown of Regina, Saskatchewan.

Keith Shologan

The 2002 CFL Draft took place on Thursday, April 25, 2002. From a list of 442 eligible CIS football players from Canadian universities and Canadian players in the NCAA and NAIA, 54 players were chosen, including 26 players from Canadian Interuniversity Sport institutions.

Joseph Eppele is a former Canadian football offensive lineman. He was drafted second overall by the Toronto Argonauts in the 2010 CFL Draft, being the first offensive lineman taken while being ranked fifth overall by the CFL's Amateur Scouting Bureau. He played college football for the Washington State Cougars.

Jade Etienne was a Canadian football wide receiver. In the Canadian Football League’s Amateur Scouting Bureau December rankings, he was ranked as the 15th best player for players eligible in the 2011 CFL Draft. Etienne was drafted fourth overall in the draft by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and signed a contract with the team on June 1, 2011. He played CIS football with the Saskatchewan Huskies and played high school football at Luther College. He was traded to the Roughriders for quarterback Drew Willy on February 6, 2014. Etienne was released prior to the start of the 2014 CFL regular season.
