Darren Indyke (born Feb 4, 1965) is an American lawyer known for being in Jeffrey Epstein's inner circle and is one of the executors of his estate. [1] [2] He was Epstein's personal lawyer for many years and was named a possible co-conspirator by federal authorities in 2019. [3] Indyke, as the executor of the Epstein estate, has been forced by courts to pay a $105 million settlement to the United States Virgin Islands as well as $121 million through a victims' compensation fund. [4] He has been subpoenaed in August 2025 by the House Oversight Committee for "decades of materials" and has been working to turn over the Epstein files. [5]
Indyke was born on Long Island. [6] He graduated from Cornell University with a Juris Doctor degree in 1991. [7]
Indyke began working for Epstein in 1986. [1] He was mentored by Epstein and worked for him exclusively throughout the 1990s, being involved in almost every aspect of his business. [1] He was the treasurer and vice president of three of Epstein's nonprofits. [6]
He is currently a lawyer at Parlatore and Associates, a law firm closely associated with the MAGA movement. [2]
Indyke visited Epstein 38 times during his 13 months in jail in 2008, and signed his work release agreement. [6]
Indyke was listed as one of Epstein's co-conspirators by federal authorities in 2019, alongside Ghislaine Maxwell, Jean-Luc Brunel, Les Wexner, Lesley Groff, and Richard Kahn. [3] Of the co-conspirators, only Maxwell was charged with crimes. He was sued in 2024 alongside accountant Richard Kahn for "aiding, abetting and facilitating" Epstein's sex trafficking operation by building "complex financial infrastructure". [8]
In the will that Epstein wrote shortly before his death in 2019, Indyke was to get 50 million dollars, the largest beneficiary alongside Epstein's former girlfriend Karyna Shuliak. [9] He is currently in control of Epstein's estate alongside accountant Richard Kahn, which has made settlements to over 100 women [2] and is currently estimated to be worth around 145 million as of 2025. [10] Indyke and Kahn were also involved in the payout of an $80 million settlement to the United States Virgin Islands. [11] In 2026, the House Oversight Committee subpoenaed Kahn and Indyke, and Indyke is currently scheduled to testify on March 5, 2026. [1]
