Darya Pachabut (born 31 December 1994) is a Belarusian weightlifter. [1]
Pachabut won the silver medal at the 2011 European Junior Weightlifting Championships in the –63 kg category. [2] The following year, Pachabut finished first [3] but she was later disqualified [4] after returning a positive doping test for Stanozolol. As a result of the doping violation, Pachabut was suspended for 2 years by the International Weightlifting Federation. [5]
After returning to competition following her suspension, Pachabut won the bronze medal at the 2015 European Weightlifting Championships in the –75 kg category, [6] and then the silver medal at the 2016 European Weightlifting Championships in the –69 kg category. [7] Pachabut competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the –69 kg event, where she finished 6th. [8]
Michaela Alica Breeze is a British former weightlifter. Breeze was born in Watford and raised in Cornwall and educated at Wadebridge School. She started weightlifting under the guidance of PE teacher Dave Allen. Breeze then went on to Bodmin Community College before attending the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. Breeze is well known for commentating at various events including Rio Olympics and Tokyo Olympics.
