Daryl Hawk

Daryl Hawk is a documentary photographer. Hawk travels to some of the most remote places around the world taking photographs for magazines and presentations. [1] He spends weeks at a time documenting the different cultures and landscapes. He has appeared on the "Today Show" showing his work. [2] Daryl Hawk is a member of the Explorers Club based out of New York City as well as the Royal Geographical Society and the Professional Photographers Association. Hawk has carried the Explorers Club flag to Bhutan which is one of the club's greatest privileges. According to the club's Web site, "A flag expedition must further the cause of exploration and field science." [3]

Hawk hosted and produced a Cablevision TV Show called "The Unconventional Traveler," interviewing over 100 of the world's most renowned explorers, adventurers, scientists and filmmakers. Guests on his show have included Buzz Aldrin, Jane Goodall, Reinhold Messner and George Schaller. [4] He also gives presentations across the country speaking of topics ranging from corporate ideas to photography. [5] He has published six hardcover photography books, "Distant Journeys," "Quiet Moments," "White Pond," Manhattan," "Into the Heart of Cuba," and "Mountains Beyond Mountains." [6]

He is the founder and owner of "Unconventional Travelers," a personalized tour company that focuses on inspiring travelers to see the world by experiencing first-hand other cultures and lifestyles. [7]

Arktika 2007 was a 2007 expedition in which Russia performed the first ever crewed descent to the ocean bottom at the North Pole, as part of research related to the 2001 Russian territorial claim, one of many territorial claims in the Arctic, made possible, in part, because of Arctic shrinkage. As well as dropping a titanium tube containing the Russian flag, the submersibles collected specimens of Arctic flora and fauna and apparently recorded video of the dives. The "North Pole-35" manned drifting ice station was established.

John Paul Caponigro is an Environmental Fine Art Landscape Photographer. He is the son of the American photographer Paul Caponigro and Eleanor Caponigro a graphic designer. John Paul attended Yale University, and the University of California, Santa Cruz where he was trained as a painter and later as a photographer. After college John moved to Maine and became an artist in residence at The Center for Creative Imaging. John now works with photo-based digital imaging as his primary medium. Dan Steinhardt of Epson considers John Paul "...one of the great mentors of the photographic medium". The photographer Arnold Newman stated,"...Caponigro's mysterious and magical images go beyond reality or surrealism. He has created a wonderful new world of his own". John Paul Caponigro lives in Cushing, Maine with his photographer wife Arduina, and their son.

Project 365 is an initiative by EtP to create and preserve photographic visuals of the ancient Indian culture and contemporary lifestyle of Tiruvannamalai a South Indian ancient town in Tamil Nadu. Project 365 is part of the long term vision to initiate public photo art projects in the rural parts of the tri-Sangam period Tamilakam, now meagerly represented in a geography comprising modern Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and parts of Andhra Pradesh. The second phase of the project documents the Sangam period ports, connected International ports and their inland surroundings. The third phase of the project will document the culture and lifestyle alongside river Cauveri. Project 365 Tiruvannamalai began on 15 August 2014.

Charles William Steele, Jr., known as “Bill Steele,” is a cave explorer. He is a speleologist who has led and participated in expeditions to many of the longest and deepest caves in the USA, Mexico, and China. He has explored more than 2,500 caves across North America and Asia and has written two books chronicling his expeditions: "Yochib: The River Cave", and "Huautla: Thirty Years in One of the World's Deepest Caves.” TV shows such as National Geographic Explorer, NOVA and How’d They Do That? have aired programs on his expeditions.
