David Conklin (born September 22, 1955) is an American former ice sled hockey player. He won medals with Team USA at the 2002 Winter Paralympics and 2006 Winter Paralympics. He also competed in the 1998 Winter Paralympics. [1]

The Winter Paralympic Games is an international multi-sport event where athletes with physical disabilities compete in snow and ice sports. The Winter Paralympic Games are held every four years directly following the Winter Olympic Games and hosted in the same city. The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) oversees the Games. Medals are awarded in each event: with gold for first place, silver for second, and bronze for third, following the tradition that the Olympic Games began in 1904.

Alain Marguerettaz is a French Paralympian who started in alpine skiing. His first Paralympics was in 1992 and he received a bronze medal in giant slalom LWXII at the 1994 Paralympics. He would later switch to Nordic events and received a bronze in the 2006 Winter Paralympics for cross-country skiing in the 5 km sitting event. Dan had the lower part of his left leg amputated as a result of a car accident in 1972. He was introduced to the sport of sled hockey by teammate and friend, Dave Conklin in 1989. Dan was on the very first USA sled hockey team, and every USA team up until he retired after winning the gold in 2002. Dan also competed in the 1998 Paralympic games in Nagano, Japan. Dan is a pioneer of the sport in the United States.
