David Hargreaves FAcSS (born 1939) [1] was educated at Bolton School and Christ's College, Cambridge. He was Associate Director for Development and Research of the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT). [2] He is a Fellow Emeritus of Wolfson College, Cambridge and was a Foundation Academician of the Academy of the Social Sciences. [3]
He has been Chairman of the British Educational Communications and Technology Agency (BECTA), Chief Inspector of the Inner London Education Authority and Chief Executive of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). He has held academic posts in teacher education at the University of Manchester, the University of Oxford (where he was Reader in Education and a Fellow of Jesus College from 1979 to 1984) [1] and the University of Cambridge and is visiting professor of education at the University of Manchester. He is the author of several books on educational theory [3] and was a Senior Associate of the think tank Demos. [4]
Sir Hew Francis Anthony Strachan, is a British military historian, well known for his leadership in scholarly studies of the British Army and the history of the First World War. He is currently professor of international relations at the University of St Andrews. Before that Strachan was the Chichele Professor of the History of War at All Souls College, Oxford.

Harris Academy St John's Wood is a secondary school in St John's Wood, North London, that was re-named in 2017. It is a 7 form-entry non-selective co-educational academy. Its predecessor Quintin Kynaston was founded in 1969 by the merger of Quintin Grammar School and Kynaston School. The earlier schools, which were built on the same site, opened in September 1956. It has been an academy school since November 2011.
