David Richard Hunt (born 1945) is a former English badminton international player and a former national doubles champion. [2]

Biography

Hunt became the English National mixed doubles champion after winning the English National Badminton Championships in 1973 with Gillian Gilks. [3] He was three times singles winner of the French Open in 1974, 1975 and 1977.

Albert Davis Prebble was an English badminton and tennis player and a prominent badminton official. He captained the England badminton team in their first international match against Ireland in 1903. He won the All England badminton men's doubles three times. He also won the badminton mixed doubles in 1909 with Dora Boothby, the same year that he reached the Wimbledon Championships mixed doubles final with the same partner.

Archibald Frank Engelbach (1881-1961) was an English badminton player. He competed in the All England Championships winning the Men's doubles title in 1920 under the alias A Fee. He was a schools gymnastic champion before taking up badminton and became a prominent badminton judge. This resulted in him being uncapped for the England team. In 1930 he married Violet Baddeley, also a well known badminton player, daughter of Herbert Baddeley, the four-time winner of the Wimbledon doubles. He died in December 1961 at his home in London aged 80.

June Rose Timperley was an English badminton player.

Margaret Stocks née Margaret McKane (1895-1985) was an English badminton and tennis player. She was born in London in 1895, and she married Andrew Denys Stocks in 1921. She came to prominence the same year when winning the All England women's doubles badminton title with her younger sister Kitty McKane. The following year, the sisters reached the 1922 Wimbledon Championships women's doubles final, losing to Suzanne Lenglen and Elizabeth Ryan. The sisters won a All England badminton doubles title in 1924, and Stocks became the singles champion in 1925.

Poul-Erik Nielsen is a former Danish badminton player. He was a doubles specialist winning three All England titles with partners Erland Kops, Finn Kobberø and Inge Birgit Hansen and reached five more finals. He has four National titles to his name and was capped 33 times by Denmark from 1954 to 1964. He is the elder brother of Knud Aage Nielsen another notable badminton player.
