David James is a Canadian country music singer-songwriter. James was nominated for the 2014 Canadian Country Music Association Discovery Award and 2017 Rising Star Award. [3]

Career

In August 2014, he signed to MDM Recordings Inc. [4] His first single for the label, "What We Weren't Looking For", was released in February 2015. [5] A music video for the song debuted on CMT in March. [5] The song peaked at number 27 on the Billboard Canada Country chart in June. [6] James' second single for MDM, "Some Hearts", was released in September. [7] His third single for the label, "Lonely Girl", was released on March 8, 2016. [8] All three songs are included on an extended play, Songs About a Girl, released on March 11. [8] In 2020, James released the extended play If I Were You , which included the singles "Cars, Girls, And The Radio", [9] "All the Time", [10] and the title track whose co-writers include Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line and Hardy. River Town Saints is a Canadian country music group from Arnprior, Ontario, composed of Chris McComb, Jeremy Bortot, Jordan Potvin, Chase Kasner, and Joey Patrois. Labelle, McComb and Bortot formed the trio Labelle in 2014, later adding Potvin and Daniel DiGiacomo and changing their name to River Town Saints. On February 21, 2019, DiGiacomo died unexpectedly at the age of 31. Afterwards, the band added Chase Kasner. Patrois initially filled in on bass before joining the band officially a short while later. The group began playing shows around their hometown in 2014. They signed to Open Road Recordings in July 2015 and released their debut single, "A Little Bit Goes a Long Way", in November of that same year. The song debuted on the Billboard Canada Country chart in January 2016, eventually peaking at #31. A music video, filmed in Ottawa, premiered on CMT the following month.
